So there is a little bit of a time jump now. I want to get this story rolling! From the last chapter it shoud be about a month. IF YOU VOTE I'LL GIVE YOU A COOKIE! SPOCK'S HONOR! aww that's actually really sad to do now considering the guy died....ANYWAY CARRY ON (my wayward son)
Autumn's POV
When I wake up, the clock by my bed reads 9:02. Did I really miss school? Well, I didn't miss it, I'm just majorly late for it. I quickly get dressed and run downstairs, almost falling down the stairs. Maybe my excuse can be that my car got stuck in the snow. I mean, it is the middle of winter, in Wisconsin.
It's not until I'm in the kitchen that I realize that the sun is just coming up. What the heck?
Jamie comes into the kitchen, laughing his butt off and clapping like a retarded seal. My dad is behind him, face red from trying not to do the same.
"You changed the time?" I say, annoyed but yet slightly impressed.
"That's what you get for almost making us late every single day this month." He wipes tears away from his face.
"You are a female-dog for letting him go through with this." I point at my dad.
"Actually, I would be a male-dog. Rufus is not a female-dog name." My dad loves making jokes with his name. His parents, my grandparents, thought it would be an amazing idea to name him after their favorite dog. Thanks to them, he makes dog puns.
"Okay, you two get ready for school." He goes back towards his room, where he'll spend most of his day.
"Good night sleeping beauty!" I yell as he closes the door.
"Are you ready?" I turn to Jamie.
"Yup, let's go." He grabs a granola bar before walking out to door. Maybe today would finally be a good day.

I walk into the gym 5 minutes late. Coach hasn't started teaching yet so maybe he won't notice me.
"Phillips, you're late." He points at me without looking. Well so much for that plan.
I stand there awkardly, waiting for someone to do something.I hope this class isn't as boring as the rest of them.
"Okay. Today, we're starting volleyball, so get into groups of four." Coach says. Everyone scatters, trying to make sure they get on a good team.
Casper points to me, "You're mine. Now find two more." We stand on our tippy-toes, trying to find two more people. Well, I stand on my toes, Casper doesn't. The perks of being short.
"I got nothing." Casper shrugs his shoulders.
"Can we join your team?" A voice says from behind me. I turn to see Riley with a girl I don't know. She must be new.
I nod, trying to keep my face blank. By the look on Casper's face I'm failing.
"Okay, you all settled? Good. Olivia's team against Phillips's." Seriously does the guy even know my first name?
When I look at Olivia's team I almost faint. They have the best, most athletic people. I am going to die.
"Don't worry Autumn, you'll be fine." I swear sometimes Casper can read my mind.
Olivia throws the ball at me when we step onto the court. "You serve, loser." She says, smirking. I'm not taking this crap anymore. I serve, or at least I try to. The ball falls to the ground, over and over. This stupid ball is making a fool out of me.
I take another try, which ends the way all the others have. Olivia snickers with her annoying laugh. My face goes red with embarrassment and anger.
"C'mon Tums, you got this." I roll my eyes at the stupid nickname Casper gave me. Taking a deep breath, I serve the bell, and it goes over. I get so excited that it actually went over I forgot that it came back. The ball hits me in the face, which surprises me so much I end up on the floor. This kind of reminds me of my first day here.
"Autumn? You okay?" Riley asks. I feel the blood rushing out of my nose and shake my head.
"Do you need help?" Casper asks. Geez, these boys are giving me a headache.
"No." I get up, covering my nose with my hand.
"You bleed a lot." Casper says, smiling. I roll my eyes at him and make my way towards the bathroom to clean myself, hearing Olivia's laugh all the way there.

The bell rings as I walk out of the bathroom. I decide not to change back in my clothes, because who doesn't love sweatpants? And I'm too tired to do anything.
I go towards my next class, only to be stopped when I see Jamie and Riley talking. Hiding behind the corner, I listen to their conversation. How many times have I done this?
"You won't know who I am until you know who you are." Riley says quietly. Why does that sound so deep? Dark teens are so strange.
Riley hands Jamie a small object, but from where I am I can't see what it is. Jamie nods, looking thoughtful and confused as he walks away.
"Hey Jamie, don't tell your sister about this." Jamie gives him a thumbs-up, signaling he heard.
Too bad I already know.
