chapter 6- Finally

"Demi! Demi! Wake up, can you hear me?" Noah shook me awake.
"Huh? What happened?" I asked sitting up slowly
"I don't really know..you passed out, I got your grandmother and she said to try and wake you up."
"It's ok. It happens often" I remarked starting to get up.
"Wait wait wait. Let me help you"
"Thanks...but I'm not hurt. It's anxiety."
"What?"
"Do you know what anxiety is?"
"Of course I do. But, why were you having anxiety attacks?"
"It's a long story, don't worry about it."
"No, I want to know"
"Noah, really it's fine."
"Demi...please"
"Fine. It's...um...I just miss my parents, okay? It's fine" I lied.
"Oh. I'm sorry"
He's just so caring and sweet😭
"Demi? Can I ask you something?" Noah broke the silence
OH MY GOSH. PLEASE ASK ME OUT. Yeahhh that's not gonna happen though.
"Yeah anything" I answered.
"Uh, uh, want to go out sometime? like on a date? possibly be...together?" He asked nervously with a stutter.
*screams inside head*
"Yes. Yes I do" I said and we hugged.
Then, grandmother walked in and we pulled apart immediately.
"Oh! Oh sorry! Didn't mean to interrupt." She said clearly embarrassed.
"It's okay!" I said playing it off cool.
"I'll just be on my way now. Nice meeting you mrs. Uhh??" He said with a shy look.
"Shelley, which is my first name, sweet Noah." she replied.
"Nice meeting you Mrs Shelley. Have a nice night.
"Thanks honey! You too!"
"Bye Noah" I said shyly and he waved on his way out.

"Oh..so are you dating?" Grandma asked
"He just asked me out"
"Congratulations sweetie"
"Thank you. Oh and before you go, my friend asked me to go to a concert with her tomorrow night. Can I go?"
"As long as you're with someone and home by midnight."
"Thank you!" I yelled and hugged her.
"No problem Demi. You're a good girl, I trust you. Now get some sleep, you still have school tomorrow." She patted my leg and left my room.
I got in my pajamas and went to bed.
But seriously. He asked me out. Finally.
