Megan's POV

I woke up around 8:30 since I went to bed early last night. I got up and stretched, going up stairs to see a note sitting on the counter:

"Meg, we left for the grocery store around 7 because it takes an hour or so to get there- will be back late afternoon hopefully- text if you need anything!
- Mom and Dad❤️"

I made myself scrambled eggs and did my morning routine. I got dressed in my millions of layers of clothing, going outside and checking my phone before putting it in my pocket: 9:03.

I got to the top of the chairlift and looked at the runs that were open:

Black Diamond
Blue
Blue
Black diamond
Green
Blue
Green

I decided to start with a blue; that's about a medium difficulty.

I want off a jump, and it was higher than I expected because I flew, and then crashed on my butt. A group of snowboarders stopped right next to me, and I looked up. To my surprise it was the boys, all except for the nice one with the tribal jacket, and the girl from the gondola yesterday.

"Need some help there?" The one that caught me when I tripped asked.

"Uh sure, thanks," I said as he scooted his way over to me and reached his hand down for me to grab.

"Hey so we were going to go on just a few more runs, and then go get some hot chocolate, wanna join?" He said motioning to the rest of his friends.

"Yeah, I mean if you don't mind my awfulness," I said nervously laughing.

"Are you kidding me, you are a great skier. Now come on, it'll be fun!"

We went down a black diamond, and two other blues, laughing at each other falling on the way down, an talking and laughing more on the chairlift rides back up.

We skied into the lodge, popping our skis off and putting them on the rack. they had cubbies where you could store your ski gear while you hung out. I told them to please order me a hot chocolate, and that I was using the restroom after I took off my gear, they all nodded. I took off my gloves, helmet, goggles, neck warmer, boots, and coat. I went to the bathroom, and came back out and apparently they were all leaving, and walking towards me. They all popped off their goggles and my jaw dropped. I had spent the whole day skiing with Jack Gilinsky, Matt Espinosa, Hayes Grier, Jack Johnson, Sammy Wilkinson, and Madison Beer?

"What?" They all asked in unison.

"I-It's just you guys are famous," I stuttered.

"Not really, but do you want a picture? I mean now that we are all friends we will be taking a lot but we should capture this moment, man," Jack G suggested. We had one of the workers take our picture, and out of instinct, I posted it right away. I hugged all of them good bye, and walked over to the lounge area, my heart beating fast, with a smile that hasn't left my face all day.

I plopped down on one of the comfy chairs, my legs on the arm of it. I was just scrolling through my Instagram feed, and laughing at all the comments I got on my picture with them. Most were from my best friends; Aria, Mackenzie, Frannie, Madison, and Andrew.

As I was concentrated on my phone, someone bumped into my chair, spilling hot cocoa down my back. I yelped in pain, and stood up grabbing my neck, it was steaming hot.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I really am. Are you okay?" A guy's voice asked me.

Looking down I said, "No, no I'm not okay, my skin is going to be burned and-" I looked up and saw his concerned face. He was cute. Really cute, but probably one of those "18 year old guys" I don't have a chance with. "Actually it's fine. Thanks for the concern though," I said smiling and turning around to walk away.

"Do you wanna hang out for a little while? I mean if you're not busy. As an 'apology'?" I turned around to see him motioning to the lounge area. He looks so familiar.

"Um," I said checking the time on my phone, "Sure," I said smiling and coming to sit down in a chair.

We talked for hours. He is from Georgia, where I live, he is 16, he plays ice hockey and he snowboards, he plays the guitar, and enjoys to sing. We just went back and fourth, asking questions, sipping on coffee, laughing, telling memories and just having a good time. The whole time I couldn't stop trying to remember who he reminds me of. Not once did we mention our names. It never came up.

"So I like flew off this jump, right? And-," he was cut off by my mom calling.

"Sorry, I need to take this," after my phone call I told him that I need to go home.

"Oh which cabins are you staying in?" He asked standing up while I gathered my things.

"Coyote Creek, it's just down the hill," I said.

"Oh I know where that is. I'll walk you home." we walked over to the shelf where I had all of my ski gear, and he said, "Those are your tie-dye skis?"

"Yeah?" I asked confused.

"You were the girl I complimented on the gondola yesterday."

"And you're the one who had on the tribal jacket I liked," I said looking down blushing, I don't know why. I picked up my skis and began walking with him by my side when he took the skis out of my hands and continued walking. "Hey!"

"Sorry, I'm a gentleman, and I'm carrying your skis," he said laughing.

"Well thank you," I said sounding sarcastic. We trudged through the snow for about 10 minutes, until we reached outside of my cabin. "We are here, and thank you for carrying my skis," I said taking them from him.

"No problem, can I get your name?" He asked.

"Oh yeah I'm-" my mom came outside.

"Get your ass in here baby, it's freezing," I looked at him and leaned in to hug him. I pulled back and ran up to the door.

"I'll see you around," I said.

"Yeah, and sorry about the hot cocoa again," I laughed and waved good bye before stepping into the comforting cabin.
