Chapter 19- supportive friends

Damiano pov

I sat there listening to the beeps of surrounded with thoughts in my head images of the fight played in my mind I never expected to see Emily in that state I continue to feel a weight in my chest it's been there since it happened.

I heard the door open and the sound of something metal I looked up thinking it was Victoria and the boys tp my suprise it was a nurse she smiled sweetly at me I smiled back a little my mouth didn't feel like putting in any effort.

"Hello I'm name is Mary I'm the nurse in charge of Ms. Matthews" she said i nodded as she walked over with a small tray what's your name? She asked "Damiano " I replied I watched her fix Emily bed cover and check the machines

"She's a pretty girl" she said moving some strain of Emily hair "thank you" I said I didn't know what to say back thanking her seemed like the right move "I have that protocol to help wake ms. Matthews up" she said

I watched she pick up a long needle inspecting it against a lot in as she taps the glass it of the needle I watched carefully as she inserted it into a tub sticking out of her left hand.

I took Emily right hand in mine to my suprise her hand was warm not warm like mine npt certainly not cold like earlier that helped easy my heart a little, I started to talk to Emily who simply laid there like an angelo.

I heard the door door again i looked up to see the guys walking in with a bouquetof flowers "hey we're back" Victoria say "the flowers are lovely theres a small vase we have here I'll bring them back " the nurse said taking them off Victoria as she took a seat beside me.
"Thank you" Victoria said
"Ms. Matthews is lucky to have such a good family support" sje replied
"I'll leave you alone, I'll back once I know the protocol has taken affect" the nurse said walking out with the tray.

30 minutes later****

The same nurse knocked on the door stepping inside
"I've come back to check.. " the nurse said placing the small vase of flowers on the table however when she saw Emily was still asleep she seemed confused.

"Hmm.. " I heard the nurse mumbled to herself i watched her as she stared at the screen tapping her fingers against her chin
"What??.. what's wrong?" I asked looking between the machine, the nurse and the guys who were staring at the nurse with worried expressions Victoria looked at me and immediately put on a smile taking a seat beside me.

"I'll be right back" the nurse said leaving "what was that about?" Thomas asked that when the door opened and we saw Dr.Murphy walk straight up to the machines taking Emily left hand checking her pluse "what's going up" I asked holding her hand tight..

"The protocol hasn't worked yet," the nurse told the doctor we watched him as he started listening to her heart i looked st the guys who looked just a lost as me "well you tell us what's happening??" Ethan demanded? Holding onto the table.
