song for this: Navy Blue, The Story So Far

song quote: if it's something serious then hit me up, but until then the door is shut

i sang, no i screamed my heart out tonight. the roar of the fans always had me going, it wasn't the high pitched screams you get at a pop concert. no this was a sound that echoed through your mind, an ear splitting memory that will always remind you of this moment. many types of people were here tonight, young and old, guys and girls maybe even both, but that was the thing about rock back in the '70s it made you feel excepted no matter what you looked, felt, believed, or dreamed. it made you feel whole.

we are a band named Let It Run, a pop-punk band based off of the want to make people feel needed and wanted. the joy of people's face once they hear a song that takes them to another place, quenches our thirst for success towards our purpose of living.

my best friend who plays lead guitar is named Logan Harold, she is one of the best guitarists that i've ever seen and one of the best people i've ever met. i've known her since the eighth grade and have been best friends ever since.

our drummer, Casey Hampton, sometimes Cas, is one of the most funniest and cuddly girls you'll ever meet. she has a heart and her drumming never stops to impress. she is an amazing shoulder to cry on and she knows when its time to listen and when it's time to give advice.

our fabulous bassist is Melissa Chapman, mainly goes by Mel. she has been a huge part of our lives ever since my freshman year. she will never turn your back but rather turn you her shoulder for you to lay on. her playing gives us the support we need, and then some, our expectations were exceeded by her.

i'm lead singer/rhythm guitar, Andy and no nothing to do with Andy Biersack but Andy Ivy. the youngest of the group. Cas and Mel are two or three years older then Logan and i, but even then Logan is another year older then me.

people are normally surprised to see an all girl punk group, let alone a girl screamer. we are rising through the charts as our single "Just Because" hit number five in the U.S. we haven't been given any awards or invited to any award shows but we could care less.

our sound is an edgy garage band meets late '90s grunge with multiple pop punk tracks to support, though it varies depending on how we feel our band should go.

we are currently on a small tour across the eastern United States, it's been great, we've met many fans and people. there would even be a small chance we could perform in a couple warped tours if we have the time.

the stage is a home, a home i see almost every night, i'm on one even now.

"everyone, i want you all to put your hands up," i shout into the microphone, raising one arm the other one was supporting the mic. thousands of hands were put into the air. "and i want you to shout with me, right into the night sky," i said, taking the mic off of it's stand and looking up at the topless arena,"i want you to shout these words: 'we are a family' on the count of four,"

out of the corner of my eye i could see Cas come down from the drum set and complete the line we made on stage. order of Logan, me, Cas, and Mel, all looking up at the perfectly clear starry night. i lowered my arm.

"one, for the longing, for the people who dream of everything," chanted Logan, and the crowd chanted her words with her.

"two, for the suicidal, for the ones who won't make it to the next year," i yelled into the mic. hearing my words back at me.

"three, for the poor, the hungry, for the innocent people who get mocked for the little they have to call theirs," shouted Cas.

"and four, to you, the people who managed to make four nobodies, somebodies who can change everything," said Mel, we heard a brief applause then the whole arena gasp for air as we all got ready to scream, it felt as though the arena lifted, hovering off the ground as we took our breath. to scream words that only we would know the true meaning to.

"we are a family!" i started off, screaming the words, and pumped my fist once in the air. and it set off screams of its own creation, echoes through the arena, echoes through our heads, echoes through the masses.

we all looked back at the crowd, hooked arms and Mel talked into the mic, "thank you guys, we are and always will be Let It Run!"

"good night!" i finished, as we bowed and walked off the stage. adrenaline still rushing through my veins.

we are Let It Run
