"Astrid! Get your butt over here right now!"

The four year old girl giggled as she ran towards you. "Yeah mama?"

"What did I say about using magic to trick your brother?" You said sternly.

"You said that I should always be nice to Erik and never use my magic to upset people." Astrid recited carefully.

"Exactly. And what did you just do?"

She hung her head in shame. "I used my magic to make him think there was a jar of candies."

"Go apologise to your brother, right now, and then you can come back here because lunch is ready." You sighed as your daughter ran off.

Raising twins had been hard, especially since they both reminded you so much of Loki. But you weren't alone, because your the team had been so supportive of you. Things had got easier with time, but there was still a gaping hole in your family where Loki should be.

You were grateful that your kids hadn't asked about their father yet, and you weren't quite ready to tell them either.

Your two dark haired kids plus Morgan came running back through the trees of Tony's estate. He had been nice enough to build you a house on their huge property for you the live in. He had become even more of a father to you, and Pepper was like a sister, since she'd become pregnant a few months after you.

Pepper was helping you feed the kids when a car pulled up out front. You frowned, and went out side to join Tony.  Apon seeing Nat, you quickly ran down to meet her,

"Hey Y/n," She said as you hugged her. "Its been a while."

"Yeah, it's good to see you. Steve, what are you doing here?" You asked, going up to hug him too.

"We have some news." He said pointing behind him at Scott Lang.

You were shocked. Scott had been one of the people to disappear. If he was back... Refusing to finish the thought and give yourself false hope, you quickly hugged him too.

Five minutes later, you were all up on the porch, and you were silent, processing what Scott had just told you.

As the stubborn man he was, Tony refused to accept the idea.

"Quantum fluctuation messes with the Planck's scale, which then triggers the Doidge proposition. Can we agree on that? In layman's terms, it means, you are not coming home."

"I did." Scott said bluntly.

"No, you accidentally survived. It's an billion-in-one cosmic fluke. Now you want to pull out... what you call it?" Tony argued.

"A time heist." Oh god.

"Yeah, a time heist. Of course. Why didn't I think of this before? Oh, because it's laughable, 'cos it's pipe dream."

"The stones are in the past. We could go back, we could get them."

There is was again. You struggled to snuff out the first flames of hope you were suddenly filled with.

"We can snap our own fingers. We can bring everybody back." Scott continued.

"Or screw up worse than we already have, right?" Tony threw his hands in the air.

"I don't believe we would." Steve intervened.

"Got to say that sometimes you miss that giddy optimism. However, high hopes won't help, if there is no logical, tangible way for me to safely execute the said, time heist. I believe the most likely outcome would be our collective demise."
