"Desi, come downstairs!" Mom yells at the top of her lungs.
Damn, the bitch can scream! "Coming!" I shouted back.
"Hurry up, come now." she yells in reply.
With a sigh, I slid my fuzzy Khols grey plaid jacket on over my v-neck spaghetti strap tank top. It covers a part of the Sophee shorts I use as pajama bottoms. My long black hair fell down in it's normal straightness. By the looks of my hair, you'd think I straighten it. But, no, I don't. I never do. It just naturally is straight as can be. Guess I'm lucky for that. Or at least, that's what people tell me. I would have loved to have some sort of waveness to my hair. But no, it just has to be pure straightness. Sometimes I hate my life!
I walked down the stairs and into the living room. A man is standing there next to my mom. He's young......and hot! He stares at me, his gaze full of amusement as he looks at my scampy tank top. I instantly blush and make a weak attempt to cover myself.
"What the hell is he here for? And couldn't you have given me some sort of warning about this?" I glare at my mom.
"Sorry, honey, there was no chance to tell you. In fact, I didn't know that Hayden here was coming today. I thought it was next week." she said.
"It was supposed to be next week, by my mom called you and told you that we needed to reschedule it for this week since I'm in town." he told her.
"Oh well." she said with a sigh. "Allow me to introduce you too. Desiray, this is Hayden Edwards. Hayden, this is my daughter Desiray."
"It's Desi actually." I correct. "I go by Desi. No one calls me Desiray unless they want to get their ass kicked."
"Desiray!" Mom gasps. "Watch your language.
Hayden chuckles. "It's quite all right." he says. "Besides, I used to do the same thing when I was her age. People used to call me by my first name and I hated it."
"You go by your middle name?" I asked.
He nodds. "Now I bet your wondering why I'm here right?"
I nod. "I think I already asked that question."
"Hayden here is an old family friend. Well his ancestors had once made an agreement to our family that when the time came when they had a son and we had a daughter, the two of them would be married. And now after fifty years, we finally have a son and a daughter." Mom explains.
"And what exactly does this have to do with me?" I ask, not sure of what was going on here.
"We are to be married. An arranged marriage to be exact." Hayden says, dead serious. No hint of that charming smile that he had had on earlier.
Greatest Monday ever! Hince the sarcasm there. Aren't Monday's the absolute greatest?
**At school**
Before heading to second block, since I missed first, I found Hanna and Mason, my two best friends, before going to class. I planned on telling them about Hayden but they had bigger news.
"There's a hot new teacher. And he's close to our age!" Hanna squeals.
"Really?" I asked, maybe this Monday can be saved after all.
"Yeah, and from what I hear. He's single!" she gives me a wicked smile. "At least we'll have something to look forward next period."
"He's our new english teacher?" I asked her surprised. That was our second block class. My luck is finally changing.
"Yep. Apparently Mr. Jinkins retired." Mason said, air quotes on retired. In other words. his final straw was when me and Hanna filled his car with frogs.
Hanna and I high-fived at that. "I knew that would make him quiet!" she said with her classic innocent look. The funniest part was Hanna and innocence of that. Trust me, if you've known her as long as I have, then you would be laughing at that look.
We start to walk into class when I see the new teacher. I'm in the door way and instantly drop my stuff in shock. That causes him and everyone in the class to turn and look at me. I blushed and picked up my stuff, then I dropped my stuff off at my usual desk. I marched up to him.
"What do you think your doing here, Hayden?" I hiss at him.
"I am your new teacher, apparently." he says cooly. "Now, may I ask, Desi, what the hell are you doing here?"
"I am in this class, dumb ass." I snap.
Heads turn and watch me and him.
"You shouldn't call yoru teacher a dumb ass. I could write you up for that." he warns me.
"You wouldn't dare. 'Cause my mom will be pissed off." I said, knowing that this probably wasn't true. Mom never got pissed off at anything that involved me. And this, she's probably think it was cute that Hayden was paying attention to me, then scold me later for calling him a dumb ass.
"I highly doubt that, Desi. And besides, I'm the teacher and your the student. I have the authority to write you up." he said with an evil smirk.
"Screw authority." I seethed.
"Go to your seat. It's time we start class." he said.
I huffed back to my seat, extremely pissed off. The rest of class I sat in my seat glaring at Hayden. He would occasionally glance my way with a smug reaction on his face. Jack ass. He's pisses me off. Because of him, I'm so pissed off I don't even pass notes with Hanna and Mason, which is unusual for me because that's what I always do.
The bell rings and I doubt I've ever been more thankful for it than I have been now.
"Ms. Riley, I want you to stay after class." Hayden says.
I groan and watch how everyone is going out of the classroom, everyone but me. Hayden goes over and closes the door behind the last student. He then turns to me and stares at me for a moment before walking over to me.
"Are you really that pissed off that I'm your teacher?" he asks me in a low voice.
"No shit sherlock. Only a genius could have figured that one out." I snorted.
"I don't want to start off our relationship with you hating me, Desi." he says.
"I didn't want this 'relationship', so techincally it's been based off of hate." I said.
"At least try to be decent about this, Desi. It'll all work out in the end." he says.
The final bell rang, saying that I was late for my next class. Great, this was going to put my gym teacher in a bitchy mood.
"I highly doubt that. Now can I leave, Hayden?" I ask him.
He sighs. "Fine, go. I'll write you a note for your next class."
He pulls out a pen and paperthen writes a quick note. I take it from him and start to head out of the class room.
"Oh and by the way, Desi, come to my classroom when school's finished." he says.
"Why?" I ask him.
"Because your mom wants me to take you home. Something about spending quality time together or some form of shit like that." he said with a shrug. "I don't know, just do that. I really don't want to go hunting you down."
"Whatever, ass hole." I say to him walking out of the classroom, slamming the door shut behind me.
Today was a wonderful day. Can't you hear the sarcasm in that?
