Arranged Marriage To The Hot New Teacher

Chapter 23

"I don't want to." I said.

I have now been out of the hospital for a week. Today was court day. The day that Fay, Rabon, and Veronica would be punished for what they did to me.

"You have to," Hayden said, brushing a strand of hair out of my eyes.

"Please don't make me." I begged.

"I'll stay by your side, baby." he promised. "Now will you come?"

"I don't know." I whispered.

He pulled me into his arms. "They won't be able to hurt you again. They'll be locked up for a long time."

"Good." I said. I sighed. "I guess I'll go."

He kissed my cheek. "Everything will be okay."

"Yeah, right." I snorted.

He looked me over. "Now you need to change out of pajamas. The judge won't take your happy bunny pajamas seriously."

I pouted. "But they're comfortable!"

"Change. I'm taking you somewhere special after this."

I smiled. "Okay!"

I shoved him out of the room and changed into my blue ruffled dress. I added black heels and a matching belt to it. Over my dress, since it was still cold outside, was a white winter coat. Once I put make up on and did my hair I headed out of my room.

Hayden groaned when he saw me.

"What? You don't like it?" I asked, playing with them hem self-conciously.

He wraps his arms around my waist. "You look too beautiful."

I stick my tongue out at him. "Your suck a liar."

He kisses me. "Not I'm not. We need to head out so I can't shut you up by kissing."

I pout. "We'll have to argue later then."

He chuckles. "Of course."

We walked to hisnew truck,hand in hand. Mason, Hanna, Don, and Lane would be meeting us at the court house. Mom and some guy that she had been dating would be there too.

On the car ride over I rested my head on Hayden's shoulder. He had gotten a truck with bench seats before I disappeared and wanted it to be a surprise. In reality, I knew that he got them so that it would be easier to make-out in his car.

He parked once we pulled it. "Are you ready?"

"No." I said.

He climbs out and opens my door. Instead of letting me climb out he picks me up into his arms. I hold onto him tightly.

"I can't carry you inside, Desi." he whispers in my ear in a low attractive voice.

"I want you to." I said.

He chuckles. "But there are stairs!"

"I don't care."

He starts climbing up the stairs. "Only for you I would do this."

I kiss him softly. "Yay!"

I notice when we're at the top that he isn't even out of breath.

"I am not carrying you inside." he says, setting me down.

"You should."

"I'm not. You have two damn legs that work, use them." he said.

"Grrr. Bite me."

He gives me a smirk. "Isn't that inappropriate to do in public?" he asks me.

I whack him in the arm. "Your an ass you know that right?"

"Of course I am." he said, putting an arm around my waist.

We headed inside.

Hanna pulled me away from Hayden and hugged me. "Are you okay?"

"Course I am." I lied.

"No lying!" she snaps. "I'm your best friend. Tell me the truth."

"Uh no," Mason said. "I'm her best friend, get it right."

"As flattering as it usually is when you two fight over me, I'm really not in the mood to hear you two bitch at each other today."

"All right." they said, hanging their heads.

"DESI!" two people said.

Next thing I know I'm being ingulfed in a hug by Don and Lane.

"Good to see you too!" I said, hugging them back.

Hayden pulls me away. "Enough hugging other people."

"Aww, jealous much." I teased.

"Very." he whispers into my ear before kissing it.

"Everyone enter the court room." an officer said coming out into the lobby.

We followed him inside.

Once a bunch of the crowd had seated he comes over to me and my little group. "Desiray Riley?"

I nod. "That's me."

"We would like you to come up front." he said.

I got up, Hayden did too.

"Sir, we need you to stay seated. Only immediant family can go up with her." he said.

"I'm her fiance." Hayden says.

"Oh, that's allowed." the officer replied.

We followed him up front. We sat down on the front reserved bench.

Then the accused entered the room. At the sight of them I whimpered and buried my head not Hayden. He put his arms around me lovingly and protectingly. He rubbed my back gently.
The court started. I was called up to the witness stand first. I was forced to be seperated from Hayden as I went up. I sat down. I told them all what happened then I was allowed to return to my seat.

Then Fay's mother went up. "That bitch is lying!" she yelled. "My baby would never do something like that."

"Don't call Desi a liar!" Hayden shouted back at her, jumping up quickly to defend me.

I pull him back down. "Calm down."

"I won't calm down when your being called a bitch and a liar." he said.

"Just calm down. Please, for me."

He sighs and sits back down. "All right."

After two hours the court ended. The three were going to be in jail for life.

Hayden, Hanna, Mason, the twins, and me all headed to my favorite resteraunt, Wolfgang Puck Express. We celebrated for a while, then headed back to my house for a Buffy The Vampire Slayer marathon. Which is my one of my favorite show. Turns out, Hayden found out and bought me all the seasons of that and Angel, the following series to that. Also he bought me all four seasons of Heroes. I love him. But damn it, why did he have to be so perfect?
