"Desi, how about this one?" Hanna asked, pointing to a mermaid styled wedding gown.
We hadn't been able to go dress shopping yesterday because my mom had been called in last minute. So here we are now, dress shopping. It's me, Hanna, Mom, Mason, and the twins. Hayden wanted to come but we all convinced him that it was better if he didn't. Well they did, I kinda wanted him to come. But no, of course he couldn't.
"No, not my style." I said with a sigh.
Mason groaned. "Nothing is your style. We have been in thirteen freakin' different stores in eight different counties and you haven't found one dress out of a million."
"Aww, someone's getting cranky!" Don said, smirking.
"I hate to say this, but I agree with him." Lane said. "This is taking forever."
"I just haven't found one that clicks." I said, as I walked through the isle of the many white wedding gowns.
We walked on and on. There was nothing that I could see myself in. I tried a couple on, but I just didn't look right.
Then I gasped. There it was. On a mannequin in the middle of the store. It was perfect. It was strapless and an off white color. It was elegant, but not too elegant.
Hanna smiles, knowing instantly what was going through my mind. She asked the lady helping us to get it off the mannequin and to let me try it on.
The lady smiled at me as she led me to the dressing room. "This is aone of a kind Italian design. Hand made in Italy." she informed me.
I nodded. I could tell by the small details in the fabric. She helped me try it on in the dressing room then I went out to go show the others.
"It looks like it was made for you." the lady helping me said with an approving smile.
"It truly does." Hanna and my mom agreed.
"You look gorgeous, Desi." Mason said with a smile.
"Damn." Don and Lake said at the same time. They meant that in a good way though.
We bought the dress then headed home. I was beaming the entire time. Apparently I had a joyful glow coming from me, as Lake put it.
Hayden was waiting for us when we arrived back home. He pulled me into his arms and gave me a short sweet kiss that was way too short for my enjoyment.
"How was it?" he asks me.
"Amazing." I said with a smile.
"Your not gonna tell me are you?"
"Of course not. It's going to be a surprise." I said in a naw duh tone. "So what did you do while I was gone?"
"I got a phone call." he said in a serious voice.
"From who? What about?" I asked, sensing his mood change from happy to uncomfortable.
"It was your dad." he said.
My eyes widened. "That's not possible."
"It is. He wants to come to the wedding." he told me.
"What did you say to him?" I asked, worried that he said it was okay for that bastard to come.
"I said I'd have to wait for your approval."
I relaxed a tiny bit. "Good. And hell no do I want him coming to ruin my special day."
"All right. I'll call him back. He wants to talk to you though."
"I don't want to talk to him." I said turning my back to Hayden.
"He wants at least a message." Hayden told me.
I sighed. "Fine, tell him go to hell for me."
"Desi," he started.
But I had already started running upstairs. I slammed the door to my room.
He had already ruined my day, no way was I going to let him ruin the moment every girl dreams of.
Not after he had ruined the 'family'.
"Let me in." came a knock at the door.
I let Hanna in and instantly she pulled me into her arms. I cried into them weakly.
She knew what that bastard had put me through. And now he thought that he could just walk up, pretending as if he cared about me and Mom. Which he never really did. If he had then why the hell would he have done all those things in the first place?
