The day it started

(authors note- I literally cannot write for the life of me so this will probably be bad I'm so sorry 🥲. Please give constructive criticism 🤷‍♀️)

Alex was just chilling in his bed staring intently at his laptop screen watching a movie when he heard his phone buzz. He reached over his ruffled bed sheets and grabbed it, he had a text from Will!

Will: hey mate, can I come round? Me and Mia had a big fight and she fuckin stormed off, I'm really worried about her ☹️ x

Alex: of course you can! I'm sure she's fine she's probably just taking a breather mate. x

Will: yeah I guess so, is George still at his parents house?? x

Alex: yeah he decided to stay their for another day or two. x

Will: oh okay. I'm going to leave now, just putting my shoes on. See you in ten? x

Alex: okay mate see you then :) x

Alex quickly scrambled out of his bed and changed his clothes that he's been wearing since yesterday.. He strolled into the living room of his flat and tidied up a little bit, he sorted out the cushions and cleared the coffee table, he then went into the kitchen and flicked on the kettle to make Will a coffee. Not long after, the kettle stopped bubbling and turned off with a small click. As soon as he had finished making it he heard three light knocks at the door, he never knew a knock could sound so depressing. He swiftly opened the door to see wills blue-ish eyes staring back at him, his under eyes were slightly puffy and blush-red (assumably from crying).

"What's up? I made you a coffee, it's over here." Alex stated as he sat on the sofa and patted the empty space next to him.
"Hey fella. Thanks for the coffee, appreciate it." Will replied with a half smile. There was a moment of comfortable silence as Will closed the door behind him and sat down next to Alex and reached for his coffee.
"So.. do you wanna talk about it? You look pretty upset..." Alex said finally breaking the silence.
"Uhm.. yeah.. Basically I went on Mia's phone to text someone about a week ago and I saw she'd been messaging some guy like. So I read a little bit of the convo and they were 100% flirting. I-" Will paused as tears began to prick in his eyes. "I didn't say anything at first cause I didn't wanna be one of them people who don't let their partner have friends and whatever. But I kept seeing notifications popping up on her phone from him and then she told me she was going out 'with the girls' but then I saw a pic of her and this guy out in a club on her story." Will choked out, a small tear perfectly rolling down his hot cheek.
"Aw mate, I'm so sorry" Alex splurged out, not knowing what to say because he's never seen Will cry :(
"But yeah basically I told her everything and she kicked off at me and left, she's probably with em right now." Will cried more

Alex just hugged him and turned on the tv. "Wanna watch a movie to get your mind off it? You can pick" Alex smiled sweetly at the crying man next to him. "Yeah, sounds good." Will sniffed with a sheer smirk as he knew what movie to put on.. The movie started playing and ten minutes in Alex looked over at Will from the corner of his eye. Will was fast asleep and lightly snoring. 'Omg he looks so cute..' Alex thought, wait did Alex just say his best mate was.. cute?

(AN: aghhh! First chapter done, better then I expected 😛 I'm trying to get their personalities similar to real life and I'm trying to actually make it sound like something they might say, which is kinda hard ngl. I'm actually pretty proud of this !! I will take any ideas or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism in the comments! See you next chapter 😊)
