(6 months later)
Vince and Jesse came out as dating, Tej moved in and admitted that he and Roman were seeing each other. Giselle was expecting a son, which was the big news that brought them home. Ramsey finished her travels and also admitted go finding Tej and Roman both attractive. This lead to the three getting together.
Dom was currently overseeing a few neighborhood kids in the backyard as he grilled with Tej and Roman. Han, Brian, Vince, and Jesse were doing repairs for some neighbors on their cars for free. Letty, Mia, and Ramsey were fixing up the patio for dinner. Giselle was forced to stay sitting, nursing a glass of water and watching out for anything out of the ordinary.
Mitch smiled happily as he watched his pack, his family mill around with the neighbors. A warmth settled in his chest, spreading through him.
"Uncle Mitch!!" One of the smaller kids called out, seeing him in the back door. Mitch chuckled and walked down. The boy jumped up, Mitch easily pulling him onto his hip. Dom watched with a smile.
"Ever think about it?" Roman asked, almost unbothered.
"Huh?"
"Kids," Tej adds, also watching Mitch and the kids.
"Mitch'll make a great father," Giselle smiled warmly.
"You think?"
"I know," Giselle nods. Mitch was soothing a kid who got accidentally hit by one of their extended family. He shushed him, rubbed his back and rocked him. Dom watched, a grin.
Mitch looked over, presuming feeling the radiating feelings from Dom, and smiled brightly. He used one of his hands to help the boy in his arms wave.
"We havent talked about it," Dom replied the earlier question. "But, yeah, I want kids. Always wanted kids."
"What're we talking about?" Brian smiled as he came over for a moment.
"Kids," Roman smiled. "You think Mitch would be a good dad?"
"Oh, he'd be the best," Brian chuckled and nods. "Said, hed never treat anyone like Noah treated him."
"That'd be one lucky kid," Tej hummed.
"Yeah."
Mitch wondered over, now without the boy. "What's up?" He smiled. "You guys have been staring for a while."
"Nothing," Dom smoothed. "Ever think about it?" He nods to the families around.
"Yeah. A few times," Mitch kisses his cheek. "I dont know... but I know that kid would have a wicked family."
"A Toretto and an O'Conner?" Giselle laughed. "The world isnt ready."
"How about we try and deal with Han junior before thinking about it, yeah? Babys can change a lot," Mitch proposed.
He honestly doesnt know if he wanted kids. He knew that he wasnt ever going to treat a kid like his father did to him. He worked with Melissa, worked in the daycare of the hospital some times. He likes kids. They're sweet. Something holds him back from agreeing fully. Maybe it's not the best idea. Having kids.
"Yeah," Dom agreed. "That sounds like a good idea." They share a soft kiss before Mitch goes back to check on their guests. Dom had a sad look about him now, but kept a smile when people looked at them and waved.
"Woah," Brian snorts. "That was pathetic."
"You are whipped man," Roman agreed.
"Watch your fucking grill," Dom refused, poking at Roman's almost burning meat.
That night, Dom watched Mitch help the kids with fireworks, clean up, and play around.
"Brian told me about your talk earlier," Mia sat next to him. "And, if you want, or need... I can be your surrogate."
Dom looked at her, "you dont have too."
"No, Dom. You love him, he loves you. That's all that matters right now."
"Thank you," Dom smiled and looked back at Mitch. He had a girl on his shoulders, other kids pawing at his legs as he lit some sparklers. He gave the to the kids, beaming as they ran around and waved them. He handed the last one to the girl on his shoulders, walking where she directed.
"They're right, though. Hes be an awesome dad," Mia adds. Letty plops on her lap, arms over her shoulders.
"Yeah, he would," she adds. "Mia talked to me about it. I agree."
Dom looked at his ex and sister, "thank you. Both of you."
Mitch wondered over, the girl with her parents. The party was dying down as he takes a seat on Dom's left leg, so he could see Letty and Mia.
"Hector said theres a race who needs another car," he informed. "For tomorrow."
"Really?"
Mitch hummed, "though I have a feeling he was just hitting on me." Dom wrapped an arm around his waist possessivly.
"I'm sure he knows not too," Mia chuckled at the reaction. The mated pairs spend the rest of the evening talking back and forth, mostly about the wedding.
Jesse and Brian wonder over and join in.
The party ended, they sit in the warm outside and chatter.
Race wars was the topic, the others soon join them around the fire."You gonna cheer me on, baby?" Dom asked softly.
"Yeah," Mitch whispered back, kissing him.
"Good." Mitch laughed at his mate, nuzzling into his neck and mate mark. Dom chuckled softly at him, holding him close. He kisses his mates temple.
