The heat wrapped around the crew, minus Giselle and Ramsey, as they walked through the mess of RV's, trailers, and hook-up houses. Cars were lined up, prices written in white on their windshield. Racing cars had numbers written on hoods and sides. Mitch felt at home in the loudness, the bustle of people, the smell of sweat, dirt, and cars. His chest rumbled with the car engines, his excitement caused Dom to chuckle at him and kiss his forehead. Mitch bubbled amd squeezed his hand.

"How you feelin'?" Dom asked.

"Better than I have in a while. Thank you." Dom chuckled at him, easily sweeping him into a tight hug.

"Your welcome, sweetheart," he replied warmly. Mitch just laughs at him, shoving him away slightly.

"Sap," Mitch calls him, pulling Dom's arm over his shoulder and lacing their hands.

"Yeah. I'm the sap," Dom rolled his eyes.

Crowds clear for the street royalty.

All except one.

The man, dusty brown hair and dark dark eyes, glared hard at Dom and Mitch.

"So, what? He sucks your dick and you forget he slept with blondie over there?" The man accused. Mitch frowned at Brian.

"We slept together? Why didn't you tell me?" He asked his best friend.

Brian laughed, "no offense, Mitch. Not my type."

"None taken. You're not mine either." The two laugh.

"Look, you have to understand the situation. Mitch needed a plan to fool some people," Letty informed. "All you, or anyone, needs to know, is that Brian and Mitch were never together."

"Mitch has devoted himself to Dom, to this family. I know he would never do anything anything hurt it or Dom," Roman informed.

"Get the hell outta my way," Dom growled, detaching from Mitch.

"Wait, Dom," Mitch grabbed his arm, stopping him from walking forward. "Look at him." The crew turn to the young man, who walked between his mate and the man. "Hey, hey. I'm Mitch. This is my crew. What's your name?"

"Clarke," he swallowed.

"Hi, Clarke. What's up? You seem scared."

"The... the guy threatend my mom. I didn't have a choice."

"Who?" Mitch smiled kindly.

"I don't know his name! He was talk, darkish... I went to visit my brother in jail and he cornered me."

Mitch grabbed his phone, "Did he look like any of these people?" The picked was from a long time ago, but they hadn't changed in a long time.

"Him," Clarke pointed to Derek. Mitch blew up tbe photo.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. That's him."

Mitch looks at Dom, "I have to see him, Dom. This is outta hand. He threatend this..." Mitch realized the male before them was young, "Boy's mother."

"Baby," Dom soothed, about to refuse.

"Yes, Dom," Mitch glared at the man. "Dom, you invented this event for the purpose of letting lose and having fun. We're out in the desert where there aren't cops for that exact reason. This, baby, this is where we belong. He isn't going to take that. I am going to see him. I am going to look him in the face, Dom. I need to. He cant take everything from me," he felt his eyes water, bites back his tears.

Dom huffed, "fine."

Brian and Roman were the only ones Mitch let go with him to Lompoc. The warden gives him a wary look.

"Mr. O'Conner, are you sure? This man did horrible things to you."

"I'm sure."

"This way. We have you a private room."

"Thanks," Brian nods. They enter the room, Derek was waiting. He had bruises, Mitch felt sick satisfaction.

"Forgot Pedo's aren't liked in lock up," Mitch slid into the seat across from him.

"Stiles," the man growled, eyes flashing. Mitch flashes back, purple irises.

"Down, boy. You did something you shouldn't have," Mitch informed. "You threatned someone, a boys mother, to get at me."

"Look, Stiles. The world is-"

"A messed up place? Yeah, I realized that after a police officer told me that you weren't possibly raping me," Mitch leaned back in his chair. Derek leans forward, smirking.

"You tell 'em about Jay?" He dropped his voice darkly, Brian and Roman nearly miss it.

"Derek, stop."

"You haven't. How pitiful," Derek huffed. "Especially since Toretto wants kids."

"Derek, I'm warning you."

"What're you gonna do? Run to you crew?" He spit the last word.

"No," Mitch stood. "No, Derek. You see, where I'm from, people are a special kinda crazy... and I'm owed a few favors." He begins to walk go the door.

"Wait! Shit, wait."

Mitch smiled sweetly at Derek, "ya know, I said the same thing to you. It didn't seem to matter them, doesn't matter now."

He makes it to the hall before Brian's arms are around him and he breaks down. Roman is right next to him, ruffling and petting his hair.

The leave after Mitch talks to a few other inmates. The car ride is tense. Roman switches off the radio.

"Who's Jay?"

"Hm?" Mitch turned to him from the window, confused.

"Hale said it. Jay. Like it meant something between the two of you. Then he said something about Dom wanting kids."

"She's my daughter. Was, my daughter," Mitch doesn't look from the window.

"What happened?"

"I don't wanna talk about it."

"Does Dom know?"

"No. It's why I'm hesitant to have kids, though."

"How old would she be?"

"3."

"Shit, Mitch," Brian sighed.

"Like I said, I don't wanna talk about it."

"You have to tell him, Mitch," Roman states.

"No I don't. And you won't."
