ᵗᵒ ᵗᵃᵐᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ᵇᵉᵃˢᵗ AOT

𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓣𝔀𝓮𝓷𝓽𝔂 𝓝𝓲𝓷𝓮

Levi and Mikasa followed closely behind the unknown Titan, its pace was extremely speedy and its heavy grunts echoing throughout the woods.

"What is it after?"

"Isn't it obvious? It's going after Eren. But its not just any ordinary Abnormal." Levi began, looking over to Mikasa, the girl furrowing her eyebrows. "What do you mean?"

"It's eyes. They glowed. Like Madison's did back in the courtroom during Eren's trial." Levi explained, Mikasa's wide eyes looking from him to the Titan in front of him. "Are you saying that's.."

"That Titan might be Madison. I'm not sure. Let's keep following and see what happens. But be prepared for anything." Levi ordered, pulling out his blades, same as Mikasa, and they trailed closer to the Titan but stayed back to not be seen.

Unexpectedly, the Titan had let out an ear piercing roar, both Levi and Mikasa stopped about half way there and observed as the Titan came face to face with the Female Titan.

The Female Titan had just pulled Eren's body from his Titan carcass and had stood on her feet, looking directly at the Titan before taking off in the opposite direction.

"EREN!" Mikasa called out, the Titan looked back at her and Levi. The Titan's eyes softened its glow upon seeing Mikasa and it turned slightly, looking at her completely. "The hell are you doing, Ackerman?! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!"

Mikasa glared back at Levi but looked back at the Titan. The Titan's eyes were no longer red and terrifying, but they were now pale blue and they appeared sad, broken.

The Titan had lift its arm up, Levi throwing an arm up slightly in front of Mikasa, thinking it was going to attack, but he was stunned to see it point the opposite way of where they faced.

"Go." They heard, the two shocked by what they heard. The Titan itself had spoke! They couldn't believe their own ears! They stared dumbfoundly at the Titan, making it blink a couple of times before it emphasized its gesture. "Go before its too late."

"But, Maddie.."

"Too many lives were lost today..you won't be any more." The Titan responded before it turned back around and ran off again in the direction of the Female Titan. "MADDIE!"

"We're following her." Levi stated, taking off after her. Mikasa followed soon after, but her mind was in such a blender that she was falling slightly behind. "Ackerman, keep up. You want to help Madison get Eren back, if he's still alive, then we have to hurry."

"He's still alive. If Maddie's certain, then so am I." Mikasa replied back with determination, finding the strength to push forward. The two gained closer and closer distance with Madison, spotting her running just behind the Female Titan.

She kept looking back at Madison and looking back forward, which made Madison growl lightly.

"Quit playing games, Annie. And give up." Madison stated to herself. And before she knew it, the Female Titan had stopped and cocked her right arm back, bringing her fist towards Madison, but she was quicker. She leaned out of the way of the fist, grabbed it with her left hand and elbowed the Female Titan in her face.

The Titan grunted, but was then swung into a nearby tree by Madison.

Madison wasted no time on her assaults as she swung her leg across the Titan's face and punching her at the jaw.

"I believed your lies once before, Annie. You won't fool me this time. The only person controlling you is yourself." Madison said to herself, kicking the Female Titan directing under her jaw, watching as she tumbled into a tree. Madison went to attack her again when she saw two figures zip past.

It was Levi and Mikasa.

The two continued the assault, attacking the Female Titan at the arms and legs, both to immobilize her and to get to move her hands away from her nape.

'What are they doing? I told them to leave!' Madison thought, watching them move faster than the speed of sound, making it harder for the Female Titan to attack. Levi had went for the side of her neck when she rose her arm, but dodged it, slashing at her eyes.

"She's starting to feel worn out!" Mikasa exclaimed before she had cut deep into the Female Titan's arm, the arm sliding down to her side soon after. "She moved her arm! Now's our chance!"

"Ackerman! Wait!"

"Mikasa!"

Mikasa went to cut the nape when the Titan's arm rose up, nearly grabbing her, but Levi pushed her out of the way, dislocating his ankle on the hand while doing so.

"Shit!" He cursed, his blade slicing her face as he fell. The Titan's jaw fell open and Madison's glowing red eyes spotted Eren hanging from her mouth. "Maddie!"

Madison sprinted at the Female Titan and snatched Eren from her mouth, running off before the Titan could make a move. Mikasa and Levi soon followed after, leaving the Titan leaned against the tree.

"Eren.." Mikasa called as herself, Levi, and Madison came to a stop far away from the Female Titan. Madison looked down in her hand and saw Eren had woke up, coughing and choking on saliva. Madison knelt down, lying Eren down and immediately Mikasa was at his side.

"Are you okay, Eren?"

"I-I'm okay. I..huh?!" Eren began, but looked up seeing a different Titan from the Female one. "W-What..what is that?!"

"It's Madison, Eren. We'll explain later. We need to get out of here now. The Commander just issued a retreat." Levi explained, pointing to the blue flare that was dusted in the clouds. Madison, Mikasa, and Eren all followed his gaze,  seeing the flare before looking bavk at him wide eyed. "But what about everyone else? What about all of our dead comrades?"

"We'll worry about them later. We need to go."

"There's one problem.." The three heard, all looking up at Madison and saw her eyes shift around. "You can't get out?" Mikasa asked, Madison shaking her head. Levi sighed, grappling up to her nape and unveiling another blade.

"Wait!"

"What?" Levi spat, Madison's eyes shifting around again. "Nobody can know I can change into a Titan. Not yet, at least. Once you get me out, I have to transfer my scars to Eren to keep it secret."

"You can do that?" Eren asked from below, Madison giving a short nod.

"Whatever. We just need to get you out of there." Levi stated, stabbing the blade in the nape, but not deep enough to stab Madison and had slashed at it, the nape opening up and Madison rising from it. She gasped slightly for air, grunting as she struggled to pull herself free of the Titan skin. "Um..a little help?"

Levi rolled his eyes, pulling her by the arms and ripping from the skin.

"That was..weird." Madison began, peeling leftover skin from off her now ripped jacket. "You're gonna explain yourself later when we get back. But for now, good to see you're alive."

"You too. All of you. I..can't say the same for..everyone else." Madison mumbled back, thinking back to the Levi Squad. Levi noticed thr change of tone and looked away as well.

"Look..no one saw it coming, Madison. Don't be hard on yourself." Levi replied, Madison scoffing softly shaking her head. "Let's go. All of you, now."

Levi jumped off of Madison's Titan  carcass, using his ODM gear to soften his landing and Madison doing the same, Eren and Mikasa coming to her side when she did. Mikasa threw Madison's arm around her shoulders while supporting her at the waist and the four proceeded to walk back to the other Scouts.
