She walked down the hallway, getting closer to the first set of stairs she had to walk down to arrive at the cafeteria. At this time, she would probably not be the only one there anyways. She kept her gaze low on the ground, seeing as she didn't want to socialize with anybody early in the morning anyways, since she wasn't a morning person at all. She quickly arrived at the set of stairs she had to walk down & did exactly that. She stared down at her feet the whole time, also being careful not to trip over them.

She didn't notice footsteps that weren't hers coming from the opposite direction, before she walked into somebody. She didn't know who it was at first, seeing as she wasn't looking. As the person started speaking, she clearly noticed who it was, without having to see.

''Melian!'' A voice said. Melian, slightly startled from walking into somebody & hearing a loud voice almost yell out her name in the morning she looked up before she slightly smiled, realizing it was Kyrie in front of her, along with Cypher in the back, which she didn't notice at first.

''Why are you up so early? You look horrible. Did you even sleep?'' Cypher asked her many questions, for which Melian was too tired to answer. Kyrie turned his head, looking back. ''Don't ask so many questions, she clearly just woke up.'' They spoke before they turned their head, facing Melian again.

''We were actually just coming to get you!'' Kyrie said. Melian yawned again, after she had put her hand up to cover her mouth. ''This early in the morning?'' She asked as Cypher had turned around & started walking down the stairs, making Kyrie follow him as they continued to speak with Melian.

''Yeah, we were going to wake you up anyways.'' Cypher spoke, reaching the bottom of the stairs quicker as the other two followed behind him. ''Can I at least get something to eat?'' Melian asked. ''Yeah, the others are also waiting for us.'' Cypher spoke. ''For some reason, they could go training if they wanted, but Diablo announced it wasn't obligatory, as for today.'' Kyrie stated, as they along with Melian also reached the end of the stairs, following Cypher which was heading to the cafeteria.

''Weird.'' Melian just added, not thinking about it too much as she was still tired. ''What do you want to eat or drink?'' Kyrie asked. ''I'll go get it, you can't even form a proper sentence half asleep like you are right now.'' Cypher added, looking back at their two friends behind them.

''Hot cocoa.'' She simply added, putting her hands in her pockets as she walked into the cafeteria. They separated quickly as Cypher got in the short line, getting Melian's cocoa as she walked with Kyrie to the table their friends sat in, which was as usual outside on the balcony.

She saw the friends sit in their usual spot, as she saw Liandria, Iris & Isiah sitting there. Kimera was next to Iris, but was asleep on her lap. She scanned the seats & waved at them before she sat down next to Isiah, which was closest from her & laid her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes & yawning.

''Tired?'' Iris asked her.

''Mhm.'' Melian added quietly, but just loud enough so Iris could hear her response. ''When did you even go to sleep?'' Isiah asked the girl next to him, not sure if she could even answer in her half-asleep state.

''When they left.'' She simply said, making Isiah scrunch his brows up in confusion. ''When who left?'' He asked her, looking down at her.

''Me, Kyrie & Cypher.'' Liandria answered him as she was again, eating her pancakes.

''What did you guys do? Clearly it was late at night.'' He asked.

''Talk.'' Melian said in a monotone voice, as her eyes were open now, just not fully yet, seeing as the lanterns outside were on, shining directly in their faces. ''About?'' Iris asked casually, her hand stroking through Kimera's hair as she was deeply asleep.

''Escape.'' Melian added, yawning again as she held her hand in front of her mouth. Just then, Iris lightly shot up. ''Huh?'' She asked. Before she could get any answer though, Melian set her head back on Isiah's shoulder & closed her eyes. ''Nope, hold on.'' Iris said, lifting her finger in front of her & pointing it towards Melian, as a small electricity wave hit her. Not hurting her, but enough to get her awake.

''Hey!'' Melian said, pressing her hand against her other hand which was hit by Iris' little electricity shock. ''Damn, already in the morning?'' Cypher asked, as he was finally back with Melian's drink and handed her it, sitting down next to Liandira, which was the only seat still free around the table. ''What was the shock for?'' She asked Iris confused.

''Escaping? Really?'' She said & rolled her eyes. ''What did I tell you, not even two days ago?''

''You can't tell me you actually want to stay here.'' Melian whispered quietly as she leaned forward, so Iris would understand her better. ''Plus, a guard literally tried to kill me after they saw me outside! In which in return, I had to get rid of her.'' She said leaning back in her seat. ''Or well- Isiah had to.'' She said as she started sipping her cocoa slowly, as it was still hot.

''No, I don't want to stay here. But escaping? That's highly dangerous!'' Iris' stated. ''Is it more dangerous than what I had to do yesterday?'' She asked & tilted her head, making Iris sigh.

In this conversation, the others didn't say anything, before Cypher finally broke the tension between them.

''I'm not going to stay forever in this hell hole, I'll make a run for it. With any of you or alone, I don't care.'' He said & leaned back in his seat, giving Iris a death glare.

''Thank you!'' Melian quickly stated. ''See? I'm clearly not the only one who doesn't want to stay here.'' She spoke. Which, in reality, she was frustrated at the fact that Iris was so against it. She had always been the protective one, wanting the best for her friends. Especially for the three girls, Melian, Liandria & Kimera, who hadn't always made the smartest decisions ever. She wanted to take care of them & acted like the mother role they never had in the camp, but as soon as somebody talked about escaping, she quickly tried talking them out of it.

''I'm not against it.'' Iris added, leaning back in her seat herself now. ''Then what's the reason you're so against it?'' Melian asked, her expression slightly turning into a frown, which Iris, along with the others had quickly noticed.''I don't want anybody getting hurt.'' Iris said, hoping to calm down Melian. Which, didn't really help at all. ''We can take care of ourselves, what's the worst that can happen? He has everybody trapped in here anyways.'' Melian said.

Iris sighed as she looked at Melian. ''Look, you weren't the only one who had tried escaping from here. Before you came up with that idea, a few others had tried it. Diablo at first didn't know anything, but soon enough the whole camp was evacuated. This happened before any of you arrived. All of you weren't here. Except for me.'' She said, entangling her hand from Kimera's hair & looking at her friends. ''Oh yeah? How would you know they had tried to escape?'' Cypher asked her, as the tension between the two girls grew more & more each second. Iris turned her head towards Cypher.

''Because I was the one who tried leaving.''
