Chapter 4: Breakout plan

He shook the bag in front of him & look at their faces, which quickly had shocking expressions on them. ''Is that what I think it is?'' Kyrie asked him, which in return Cypher nodded his head.

''How did you get a hold of it?'' Liandria asked, still shocked about the fact that she was seeing multiple strands of hair,

Diablo's hair.

''I don't know, ask Kai.'' He said before putting the little baggie containing Diablo's hair back In his pockets, where it first was. Kai just looked at Cypher.

''I didn't know he could speak.'' Melian said. The boy in return closed his eyes and quietly sighed to himself. ''What I meant with that was, he got them for me.'' He said before getting up. ''Where's your snack drawer?'' He asked Melian. She silently pointed to the desk drawer next to her, making the boy who was sitting next to his shadow-helper stand up, before he opened it up & searched for whatever snack he wanted.

He picked out a small chips bag with onion rings & closed the drawer, before he walked back to the beanbag he was sitting in before he opened it and started eating out of it.

''Wait I want something too!'' Liandria said before sitting up, leaning over Melian to search the drawer for anything sweet for herself. She just picked out a chocolate bar & sat down, before she started eating it as well.

''Want something too?'' Melian asked Kyrie who was sitting opposite of her. They shook their head & stretched. Melian just grabbed a fruit drink packet & drank it, before she closed the drawer.

''Anyways- How did you get it?'' Liandria asked him. ''I kind of meant what I said, ask Kai. Because I don't know.'' He said before popping another ring in his mouth. ''I didn't question him.'' He said right after.

'Sure..'' Kyrie said and yawned.

''How are we going to know for sure if it works though?'' Melian asked her friends.

''Easy.'' Kyrie said. ''Kai's a shadow-figure, meaning he can adapt with them too.'' They said, which in return Cypher nodded before he continued. ''I can morph with him too, meaning if he adapts with any shadows, so will I. Basically, I can hide in the shadows, and no one would know.'' He said with a light smirk on his face. ''That's kind of creepy- But so cool!'' Liandria stated, slightly smiling as she had already finished her chocolate bar & threw the wrapper into Melian's garbage bin across the room.

Cypher slowly nodded his head. ''I could go test it out, since any of you guys probably wouldn't make it.'' He spoke.

Sadly, he wasn't completely wrong & they all knew it. They all nodded their heads slowly. ''So, are you going to do it now?'' Melian asked him. ''Not now, you know, what if they're searching around the house because of that security guard?'' He said, eyeing Melian up and down.

She looked at him with a surprised look on her face.

He knew. But how?

''How did you-'' She wanted to ask him an obvious question, but he cut her off quickly. ''I just answered how less than a minute ago.'' He said, again taking another ring in his mouth, now also finishing it & threw it into the bin.

Melian nodded slowly, making the other two friends confusion grow as they Kyrie & Liandria looked at each other & then at Melian & Cypher.

''Oh yeah, she got a guard killed.'' Cypher said, also stretching his body now.

''You did what?!'' Liandria asked, looking at Melian shocked. Kyrie also turned their head, looking at Melian.
