UNREQUITED LOVE

CHAPTER- 5

It's been almost 3 months since Markus came into my life and I've never been so happy and felt  this great. Many things happened and many things changed during these 3 months.

Austin became Markus' bestfriend. They both usually hangout together at each other's place. Naomi and I sometimes hangout with them otherwise we both are busy preparing for our literature club. Ashley and Alex are recently becoming close with each other. They've stopped bickering over small small things.

Me and Markus also became close friends. His mom often visits my place with some food or sometimes she comes to take cooking classes from my mom. Things have been going well.

The only thing that hasn't changed are my feelings for Markus. They are growing deeper and deeper. Whenever he pays a visit with his mom, he brings his books or guitar with him.

I never knew Markus would know how to play a guitar.

Once I invited him to my room, he came and sat on the balcony with a guitar in his hands. He suddenly started playing 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran. The way he was playing, it made me fall in love with him once again. His voice fitted the song perfectly. I sat beside him, concentrating on his beautiful voice and admiring his face.

The sun was doing it's work perfectly. It was doing justice to his face. Its rays were falling on his face, making him aesthetic.

I could see his face shining in the sunlight. He was so damn fine and beautiful. At this point I realized that I was totally obsessed with him. After he was done playing, he asked me whether we both can study together.

Wow! Luck was literally knocking on my door. Although I don't like to study, if he was there with me I'd study the entire night.

I told him to take my chair and I got myself another one from my dad's study. We both sat together and started with our assignments.

I couldn't help myself but to steal a glance at him. He was totally focused on the assignment while I was focused on his face.

My phone alarm rang once again. Damn my alarm!! I wish I could break it!

I hurriedly took out my phone and muted it so that no one would disturb us. He was continuously looking at me while I was muting my phone in an aggressive manner.

Gosh! That was embarrassing. Why do embarrassing things happen with me only when he is around?

He smiled at me and I smiled awkwardly at him.

We resumed back on studying.

I was done with my assignments. I thought of taking a look at Markus. I found him sleeping next to me. I tried calling him but he was sleeping soundly. So I brought my blanket from my bed and put it over on him. I sat beside him. He was in a deep sleep. He looked handsome even when he was sleeping. I took a close look at his face. He had beautiful and long eyelashes, a perfect nose bridge, beautiful red lips and pointed chin. I never noticed him this closely.

I remembered something so I went down. I came back after sometime and found him standing and laughing.

"Markus?" I said in a confused manner.

"Hey Erica, you looked so funny when you were a kid." he said while laughing.

"Hey! Put that down! Don't you dare see it!"

"Haha...its so funny"

"What's so funny? Everyone has some funny childhood pictures and it's not like they were willing to take these pictures....their parents took it because it was a beautiful memory."

"Yeah... but it's funny though."

"Yeah I know"

"Umm Erica...sorry that I fell asleep while doing the assignment."

"It's alright."

"You should have woken me up."

"You really think that I didn't try to, huh! I called your name like a thousand times but you were in a deep sleep so I gave up."

"Oh.. Sorry about that."

"No problem."

He looked at his watch.

"I better get going. It's quite late. My mom would be worrying."

"Don't worry. I've already informed your mom that you fell asleep while completing the assignment."

"Oh.. Thank you so much Erica."

"You're welcome Mr. Markus. ''I said while giggling.

He packed his bag and took his guitar and left my place. I was really very thankful and happy today.
