EPILOGUE

All through out the drive I was quiet. Hawak hawak ko ang dibdib ko, hoping na safe ang mag ama ko. We arrived at this garden restaurant kaya medyo nagtaka ako. Emily quickly got out from the car at agad naman niya ulit ako hinila.

We arrive at this big maze "Makinig ka, go inside the maze and follow where your heart leads you. He's waiting" I was so confused, agad naman ako niyakap ni Emily "I am so proud of you, Fiona. Thank you. Thank you for everything. For being my friend. I know kasalanan ko din kung bakit kayo nag hiwalay dati, and believe me, I feel terrible" I saw how her tears were forming in her eyes.

Agad naman niya ako tinulak ng mahina papasok ng maze "Bilisan mo na baka mabagot sa kakahintay ang isang yun" I walked inside the maze, sa isang lagusan nito I saw pictures. Tinignan ko isa isa nag mga litrato.

This one was when I first saw him inside the gym "This girl, she looked so strong, but why does her eyes look sad?" I read the caption below the picture.

"She looks so confident every time she delivers her speech, masyadong mababaw pero I had to force all my teammates to vote for her during the election. Syempre kailangan siya ang manalo" my eyes widened kilala na niya ako even before? This picture was when I started to run as President.

I scanned all the pictures when one photo caught my attention, "You and me, Under the City Lights" the picture of us watching the beautiful scenery up on the hill.

"After 6 years, I finally saw her. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko siya kakausapin kaya agad nalang ako pumunta sa upuan niya at doon ako umupo. Damn, if only she knew how much I've missed her" I was about to read some more when I saw Zylex at the end of the maze

"Mommy!" he shouted while waving his hand at me. I smiled at him "What is happening, Zylex" I asked him but he just smiled at me "We will be a real family now, mommy. No more pain. No more crying" he kissed my cheek and he held my hand

Jolo's POV

I saw my son, pulling his mom out of the maze, I tried my best holding my tears back the moment I saw Fiona. She looked confused. I chuckled, she really is dense sometimes.

I looked around, both of our family and friends are here. I want them all to witness this special day. I stopped day dreaming when I saw my son and his mother, the woman I love and will ever love, in front of me "Daddy, mommy is here now" he smiled at me.

I kneeled in front of Zylex "Thank you, son" he kissed my cheek and took my hand and he looked at his mom "Mommy, it is time for you to be happy" pinatong niya ang kamay ko sa kamay ng mommy niya. I smiled and held Fiona's hand.

Zylex run towards his grand parents "J-jolo" Fiona looked at me confused and worried "What's happening?" she innocently asked. I hugged her and whispered "Today, our forever begins"

I kneeled on one foot and I saw how she started crying. I held her hand "Fiona Alyssa Smith, the girl I had a crush since college, the woman who taught me how to love selflessly, the woman who gave me my son. Baby, you have no idea how whipped I was for you during our college days. I was an asshole baby, I know and I am sorry for that. I am thankful that you gave this asshole a chance. A chance to be with you, a chance to love you, a chance to be loved by you, a chance to be a father to Zylex, but now baby, will you also give me a chance to be your husband, a chance to be with you forever?" I felt my tears rolling down my eyes

"Fiona Alyssa Smith, will you marry me?" she kneeled in front of me and wiped my tears away nodding "Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes, Jolo" she smiled at me, her eyes tearing up

We both stood up and I put the ring on her finger, our families and friends started clapping their hands. I cupped her cheek and kissed her on the lips.

Zylex came to us running "Daddy! Mommy!" agad ko naman kinarga si Zylex, "Oh wow, Hi there little fella" I said, I wiped his tears and kissed his forehead "We are now a real family, right daddy? For real? You won't leave us na po diba?" he said and I nodded at him "Thank you, anak. For believing in me" he hugged me tight "I love you, daddy!" 

I looked at how Fiona puts food on Zylex's plate, I chuckled. Damn. Am I lucky to have her or what? She looked at me and smiled, agad ko naman siya pinuntahan and I hugged her back. She tried getting away pero I hugged her tight and I gave her small kisses on her neck

She giggled "Aren't you clingy, Mr. Bustamante" I played with the ring on her finger "So what if I am? Mrs. Bustamante?" she rolled her eyes kaya napatawa ako, "You're mine now, Fiona. At last, you are all mine, my love"

She is officially mine now. Fiona Alyssa Smith, gave me light from my dark past.

She is my strength. My refuge.

I will choose her, and will continue to choose her.

For the rest of my life.
