It has been a month since I allowed Jolo to court me, and sa buong isang buwan na 'yon he was very sweet and protective of me. Pero hindi yung super OA na pagiging protective.
We have been going on dates na din. Pero most of the time library dates yung ginagawa namin. It has been our routine na din.
"So may lakad kayo ni Jolo today?" biglang tanong ni Alexis sa akin, tumango na lamang ako bilang sagot ko. I was concentrating on studying. Wala naman kaming exams pero gusto ko lang mag aral para hindi na ako mag cram.
"Saan kayo today, Fio?" Stephanie arrived with some chips at binigyan niya kami ni Alexis. "I don't know e. Hindi naman niya sinabi sa akin kung saan kami pupunta"
"I do not know lang Fiona ha. Pero I have a bad feeling about today" medyo malumay na sambit ni Alexis. Nagtaka ako at tinanong ko siya kung bakit pero sabi niya hayaan nalang daw kaya hindi na ako nangulit pa.
Natapos na yung class ko pero hindi pa rin nag memessage si Jolo sa akin. I'm getting worried each moment. I went to the library at doon nalang ako nag hintay.
A few minutes passed when I heard my phone beeping. It was from Jolo.
Miss pres! Nandito po kami sa hospital ngayon. Na aksidente si captain!
I immediately got up from my chair. Wala na akong pakealam if it created a sound. Tumakbo ako papuntang parking at agad agad akong sumakay sa kotse ko.
Pinaharurot ko ang aking sasakyan. I tried calling Stephanie and Alexis pero hindi nila sinasagot. Agad ako naka rating sa hospital namin at agad ako nag park.
I did not even lock my car! Tumakbo nalang ako papuntang Emergency Room. I saw all the Archers outside the emergency room. They look like they are all about to cry.
"Anong nangyare?" I tried my best to hide the shakiness of my voice. Tinignan ko sila isa isa. Walang sumagot sa akin. "I said what the fuck happened!" sigaw ko at nakita ko kung paano sila nagulat.
"Fiona!" I turned around and I saw Stephanie and Alexis running towards me. "Bakit kayo nandito?" agad na tanong ko sa kanila. "Steven called us. Siya daw kasi nag dala kay Jolo dito" Alexis explained.
I was about to ask again when I saw my father coming out from the emergency room "Fiona" his cold voice sent shivers to my system. His voice is cold and authoritative.
He looked at Jolo's teammates "He is currently inside the private room. I need to perform surgery on him later" he then looked at me and gestured me to follow him, so I did.
"Daddy, what happened?" tanong ko habang naglalakad kasama niya. The others were also following us.
"Well, Steven called me, he told me that he saw someone's car on the street, kilala niya yung tao so dinala niya dito. The car got hit by a truck" I was not able to stop my tears from flowing.
"You're crying" he stated "Is he someone important to you?" napayuko ako sa tanong ni daddy.
"Yes dad. He is. I-I love him daddy" I confessed. He stopped walking kaya agad ako napatingala sa kanya. We are already in front of the private room na pala.
Nagulat ako when Daddy hugged me tight "Your mom and I love you so much. You're the only baby we have" he kissed my forehead.
I almost had a sibling, pero nakunan si mommy kaya ako lang yung anak nila. Hindi na din sila sumubok pa. Kaya I understand why they are protective of me. Lalo na si daddy.
I thought siya ang papasok but nagulat ako when he told me na ako daw ang papasok. I was hesitant at first but he smiled at me and whispered 'go' so I did.
Agad na bumagsak ang mgs luha ko when I saw him. Madaming IV na naka sabit sa kanya. "Jolo, wake up please. Need mo gumising. Need mo mag palakas. Sasagutin pa kita hindi ba"
I kept on crying when I felt his hand move. Agad akong napatingin sa kanya. I saw him smiling! No! Smirking!
Agad ako napatingin sa likod ko when I heard a lot of footsteps. Nakita ko ang buong team niya na may hawak na banner! Stephanie and Alexis were there as well!
What shocked me the most when I saw my parents there! Mommy was being emotional while daddy was holding mom's waist, smiling at me.
"I visited your parents last week, I asked permission if I could formally court you. And they agreed. So we planned all this." Jolo talked so I turned to him. He removed the 'needles' na nasa kamay niya at yung bandage na nasa ulo niya. He was still smirking!
Hindi ko napagilan ang sarili ko at hinampas ko siya gamit ng bag ko "Punyeta ka Jolo! Alam mo ba na halos mamatay ako sa pag alala ha? I did not even lock my car for pete's sake! Gusto mo ba ako patayin ha?!" feeling ko ang pula pula ko na. I even got angry sa mga teammates niya!
Tinawanan niya lang ako at niyakap. He kissed my forehead and whispered 'I'm sorry' I looked at him and he smiled at me, curse those dimples of his.
Tumayo siya sa kama at lumuhod sa harap ko "Fiona Alyssa Samaniego Smith, will you be my girlfriend?"
This guy is really unpredictible.
