While some of the crew slept, the others sailed through the waves, distancing themselves from the princess's home. They sail all night and, of course, they continued to during the day. Some food was brought by one of the crews, but the royal didn't touch it, or even moved away from the window. She was tired from the night, and simply watching the ocean hearing the waves and smelling the sea's perfume. Even exhausted, her mind wasn't giving her a break, the royal wanted to get out of there and was thinking on a way to do so.
The captain didn't went to see the princess for the rest of that day. Only when the sun was already setting down was when she finally decided to check on their most recent prisoner. Lauren walked down and opened the door entering.
"Don't let the rats steal your food, we don't have infinite supplies of it." She picked the plate and walked closer to the princess.
"I'm not hungry." She mumbled.
"You haven't eaten all day." She said with a more soft voice than usual.
"I'm not hungry." Y/n insisted not moving away from the window.
"Come on y/n... Princess." She quickly corrected herself. "You have to eat. Our next stop is miles away."
"Yes I'm aware of that."
"Then eat. You won't see land, or you won't be able to escape until then. Might as well get your tummy full."
"I'm not going to eat."
"Well fine. Don't eat." She put the plate on a small table fixed to the ground and leaned against the wall, watching her.
The princess stayed silent. Her hand went to her belly since she was very hungry, but was still refusing to eat the food. She could feel the pirate's eyes on her. Even so she stayed still, not speaking, but her mind was on the woman. Expecting to hear steps and the door of the cell closing, Y/n frowned not understanding and she turned around a little looking at the green eye woman.
"It's rude to stare."
"Pirates are known for being rude, wasn't that taught to you?" She simply asked, not taking her eyes away.
"Yes, like the fact they don't have manners."
"Exactly, what else did they teach you?"
"They only care about money."
"If we only cared for money, don't you think we would work for someone full time in order to get the most amount of money in the smallest time?" Lauren raised an eyebrow and walked closer.
"You're to lazy to work, so you prefer to stealing instead."
"I've never liked to work on a job, even thought that was my fate." She shrugged. "And you are wrong if you think stealing isn't work. It takes time."
"Right, my apologies." She rolled her eyes a little.
"Unlike you, who don't move a finger since you have your maids to do all the work."
"Because being royalty is sooo easy."
"Tell me the worse struggle in your life."
"Being kidnapped and forced to marry someone I'm not in love with? Being treated like a toy who doesn't even have another pair of clothes?"
Lauren tried not to laugh but failed. "You are so funny." The princess rolled her eyes and looked over the window. "Are you cold, princess?" She walked closer.
"I'm fine." She assured.
"Down here can get pretty cold, especially on this cell." The pirate stopped by her side and leaned on the wall, facing her.
