The captain had gone upwards, and was feeling the cold wind hitting her face. But that didn't stop the tears from forming on her eyes and rolling down her cheek non-stop. For years her wish was to see her best friend again, but she couldn't decide that, not until she became the captain, and not until she had a reason to go there. Now that she had, she took the chance, but she wasn't going to simply hand y/n to the other kingdom, she wouldn't do such thing. But she couldn't tell the princess, or things could get to the wrong side. And now, Lauren wished that the royal didn't recognize her. With all these unbearable thoughts, the woman screamed from the bottom of her lungs into the vast ocean. That was her way of calming down, and she knew everyone in the ship, awake or sleeping, would have heard it. Though they knew if Lauren screamed, simply screamed, it didn't mean anything bad. So, she just continued, screaming all her pain away.
Though for y/n that was something knew, she jumped on the bed and got scared hugging the pillow against her chest. Though the thought of Lauren being in danger crossed her mind, and without knowing why she just ran off the bedroom and upstairs. She did trip and almost fell a few times but she was able to quickly reach the captain.
"L-Lauren why are you screaming are you alright?" She asked with her voice husky and made the older face her inspecting her body to see if she was fine.
Besides the puffy cheeks and red eyes from crying, Lauren was fine. She did open her mouth to speak, but no words came, only more tears. The shorter's gaze finally reached the pirate's face. y/n's brown eyes locked into the green eyes and she passed her thumb on the cheek cleaning the tears away. She also let a few fall but she didn't mind it.
"I miss you." She whispered very low.
Lauren sniffed. "I miss you too." She whispered with her voice more husky than usual.
Y/n closed her eyes and hugged the woman tight hiding her face on the curve of her neck. Immediately, she was hugged back by the pirate. Perhaps being stronger, Lauren gave her a tight embrace, almost suffocating, trying to ease the pain and show her how she truly felt. Though the younger didn't mind she just wanted to stay close to the woman and for a few seconds they just hugged in silence. But the embrace they were sharing was broken with a more violent wave, making both have to break apart in order to keep themselves straight. Lauren used that opportunity to clean her own face and to gently brush away y/n's tears.
"I told you that I don't like to see you crying, it hurts me." She whispered.
Y/n simply hugged the woman again passing her arms around her waist this time. "I'm not just a princess." She whispered weakly.
Lauren hugged her back. "You were never just a princess to me y/n."
"I want to go home Lauren, I want to go home with you." She looked up. "But I know this is your own home... You like being a pirate don't you?"
"It's my life." She smiled. "What I love to be doing."
"I understand." She hugged her tight one last time before slowly letting her go.
Though, Lauren didn't let her go. "I cannot take you home just yet."
"My parents will be worried and you will get in trouble. I don't belong here."
"I cannot take you home just yet." She repeated, gently caressing her cheek.
"But Lauren what do you want to do then...?" The shorter looked up confused. "You aren't going... Giving me to the prince right?" She moved uncomfortable. "Just so I can be sure."
The captain held her chin and gently kissed her forehead. "You know how much I can't stand royals besides you."
"You know they aren't that bad, compared to pirates." She provoked a little hugging the older.
