Chanhee coughed as he opened the shelf door. The dust inside the shelves were building up on the books. Chanhee scrunched up his face as he took out the heavy books and placed them carefully in the trolley next to him.

"Hey, wear a mask!" Seonghwa said, handing him one.

"Thanks." Chanhee replied.

He put on the mask and continued his work. Then he left the shelves open and pushed the trolley away. He kept the trolley next to the wall lined up to the other trolleys. It was the month to clean out their antique books section.

"Leave them. It's almost closing time." Seonghwa said as he passed by.

Chanhee nodded and left the trolleys there after checking. He walked up to the reception and plopped down his chair. Taking care of a library was no easy task. And there are some people who think it's just simply keeping books on shelfs but nope.

Seonghwa was texting on his phone with a big smile on his face. Chanhee didn't need to peek at his phone to know Seonghwa was texting his boyfriend. Chanhee didn't need to check his own phone to know whether he had texts either.

Why? Cause he was as single as a dollar bill.

"Stop sighing. You're making it obvious that you're lonely as fuck." Seonghwa said while smiling at his phone.

"Excuse me!? I'm not lonely." Chanhee huffed.

Seonghwa glanced at him with an eyebrow raised in an unconvinced manner. Chanhee kept his stance before his lips turned into a pitiful frown.

"Fuck, I am lonely." He whimpered.

Seonghwa frowned with a pensive look. He put down his phone and spread his arms. Chanhee accepted his invitation and hugged Seonghwa. Seonghwa nodded and patted his head like a mother hen.

"See? This is karma for rejecting all those guys and girls from high school and college."

"Are you comforting me or blaming me." Chanhee snapped, his face still buried in Seonghwa's chest.

"Both." Seonghwa shrugged.

Chanhee sighed and pushed him away. He rolled his chair over to the desk and laid down his chin on it with a tired look. Seonghwa glanced at him worriedly. He hesitantly picked up his phone again to text his boyfriend.

"I just need some change, you know?" Chanhee spoke.

"Uh-huh."

"Just someone to talk to."

"Uh-huh."

"Maybe meet up after work and relax together."

"Uh-huh."

"Are you even listening to me?"

"Uh-huh."

Chanhee rolled his eyes and glared at Seonghwa whose eyes were trained on his phone. He looked up with a sheepish grin and put the phone away. He pinched Chanhee's cheeks which were puffy since he was sulking.

"I am listening."

"Never mind. I'll just go check around the private section before closing." Chanhee muttered and got up.

He walked away but not before glancing back at Seonghwa. He scoffed when he saw the guy back on his phone, giggling to whatever his boyfriend texted. Chanhee sighed again and made his way to the section.

He walked along the row of book shelves, checking just briefly. He came to the last row and entered it. He let his eyes wander along the hardbound books. Then, something caught his attention.
