"How could you let him go like that! I should've shown him a lesson or two." Chanhee clenched his fists.
"I think I'd be better at showing lessons. I'm a teacher after all."
Chanhee frowned at Kevin, making him laugh.
"I know you're angry but that's just how some people will be. We just gotta learn not to be like them and, possibly, steer clear." Kevin added.
""Still......." Chanhee pouted.
"Chanhee? Look at me."
Chanhee let Kevin lift his chin up but he didn't meet his eyes.
"Chanhee?"
Chanhee sighed and looked directly at Kevin this time. Big mistake. He felt like he could melt with those heavy gaze directed at him.
"I don't need to ask for more if I can just stay happily ever after with you."
Chanhee nodded. Kevin smiled at how Chanhee was silent and peering at him through his long lashes with his eyes wide like a kitten.
The park lights lit up. The orange lamplight illuminated upon them, creating a shadow beside. The shadow wasn't separated but connected together as the two people leant in closer. And at long last, fusing into one.
ARF! ARF! ARF!
"Flocking flowers!" Chanhee yelped as he jumped onto Kevin.
The small Chihuahua kept barking at the couple. Chanhee hooked his arms around Kevin's neck and stuck close as he glared at the small feisty dog. Kevin chuckled in adoration. He pressed a kiss against Chanhee's forehead and sat him down the bench. Chanhee shuffled to the farthest corner on the seat.
"I'm so sorry! He just ran away all of a sudden." The owner came to apologize.
"It's okay." Kevin reassured.
With a couple more words, the owner walked away, carrying the dog. Kevin turned around to see Chanhee all snugged up at the edge of the bench. He burst out laughing as he knelt down in front of a pouting Chanhee.
"Were you startled?" Kevin cooed.
He brushed back Chanhee's hair behind his ear. Chanhee nodded his head. Kevin smiled and rested his chin on Chanhee's lap. He tilted his head like a puppy would.
"You don't need to be afraid when you're with me, you know. I'm here to protect you." Kevin's voice was soothing.
"I wanna protect you too....." Chanhee mumbled.
"You already do by keeping my heart," Kevin pointed at Chanhee's chest, "right there." He smiled wide.
Chanhee looked at Kevin's finger. Then, he grabbed his hand and led it to his cheek. Chanhee leant into his palm and stared at Kevin with wide doe eyes. Kevin swallowed hard at the way Chanhee was gazing at him with half-hooded lids.
Kevin knelt down and leant towards Chanhee as if possessed. Then, they kissed.
Two pair of lips morphed into a soft kiss. A kiss so sweet as if a love potion brewed together. The two of them smiled even before separating away.
Chanhee gulped as Kevin stared at him so intently. Kevin caressed his cheek gently and rested his head on Chanhee's lap. Chanhee stroked Kevin's hair as his boyfriend sighed contently. Kevin hugged Chanhee tighter.
The park lights illuminated upon the couple as they stayed like that for a while.
