We reached Guwahati station at 16:00 the next day. From there we took two cars, in one car my family and Sonia and her mother. Snigdha and her family were in the other car. There was another man and his wife in our car. They were to get down in a nearby place.
The car took us through a path which had scarce trees in lands covered with green grass. I sat at the window side and observed everything I could. I felt like staying there the rest of my life. Small cottages showed that people live here to do work. While we had been traveling for about 20 mins in the taxi, the couple in the other car got down and Snigdha's family came in our car then. We booked the driver for our whole trip. He was a jolly young man of about 28-29 years of age. The other car traced its path back. The path had small tea gardens on both sides and at the far end blurred red coloured mountains were visible. It was dusk and the sun was setting with all its gorgeous colours and was pouring them on the dusty mountains. After traveling for about 40 mins we reached Bagori. We now came to a place which had some two to three storey buildings. There were the hotels for tourists to stay. We halted in front of a big ground where some kids were playing. At the other end of the playground was a white grand two storey building, name La Vue Resort. We had preferred this as it overlooked the beautiful green stretched forest. We took three rooms. In one room, we three friends, in the second the three mothers and in the third stayed two fathers. Even they were good friends of each other.
While we were getting down of the car, a car from back came in high speed and was about to run down my mother. She shouted and jumped back. There were three people in the car including the driver. They were sorry but didn't stop. From behind them, another car was coming, a boy of about 23 years shouted loudly to the front car, "Can't you see, what would have happened if the lady was run over." And was quarrelling. But we requested him to stop and thanked him for supporting us.
They had come 4 friends together of the same age. Even they stayed in our hotel. The atmosphere pleased me. There were one horned rhinoceros on the other side of the road. Golden coloured tall grass covered most of the area. The rhinoceros are now endangered. We enjoyed seeing them from the top of the hotel. But all had a strong desire to see the Royal Bengal Tiger. It was rare to see them at the first time. We had even heard that a man had came 7 times to see a tiger and was unsuccessful.
