The next day we woke up with a commotion and chaos. Last night we had exchanged rooms with our mothers. The whole hotel was shouting as they had not woken up. On banging the door, they were not opening it. I and Snigdha ran towards that room. We shouted "Maa... Maa... Open the door. What happened?"
We were extremely worried and I almost felt like crying. There was a tree on the other side of the room. A man had climbed on the tree to peep inside. He reported in broken English, "Women asleep. Not waking... We shouting and shouting. No answer. "
Sonia looked casual. As if she knew that this would happen. What mattered to her was the working of our plan. I got enraged and shouted at her for being so much insensitive.
She replied, "Ufff.... You're mother is not dead. Err... But if the poacher escapes them everything will be ruined. I know what has happened. Your mother has been senseless. See, the people who are brutally killing the innocent animals knows that I will try to catch them red-handed. They even stays in our hotel. So, at night, perhaps with help of chloroform, they tried to keep us asleep. But I guessed this and had changed the rooms last night. "
Snigdha asked, "When will they be alright?"
Sonia replied, "Within 3-4 hours. Please help me. The criminals will escape. Hurry up. Moreover, if my mother wakes up, she will never let me go."

Reluctantly I went to the room to dress up. Sonia was already prepared, with a clean green dress and even advised is to wear clothes which would help us to camouflage. She had already cleaned her would and had band-aided it. I dressed up and took the things we were supposed to. Then informing our fathers, we went out. Our fathers didn't want to let us go but we urged them and comforted them by saying that we will be alright. Sonia said that she will hand over the shot gun to the forest department.

We went out. The sky was gloomy that day. I told the others, "Perhaps it will rain. But we didn't bring our umbrella."
Sonia said, "We will get wet. Wow!"

So according to our plan, we proceeded. We were moving towards the east. I carried a long rope and Snigdha carried a knife. Not a single gust of wind blew. There was a lot of moisture in the air and we were sweating vigorously. The sky was overcast with clouds. We passes by the golden grass and moved ahead. Then there were few dense trees. The path was then divided into two. Sonia said us to stand there still until we spot anyone.
Then a car came. The young men were in there. Sonia instructed us to stand there still until the next car comes and capture them as possible. "I will follow Ajay, Alok, Raj and Ram."
The road was too narrow for a car to get in. They had to come off the car and walk into the forest. For the first time we saw that they brought out air guns from the car. They had a total of three air guns. While they went inside the dark forest, another car came. The other group of people were there. They were unloading there things when me and Snigdha swiftly went a bit inside the forest. Even they had guns. Total there were three people along with the driver. The driver was not armed, the others were.

They were walking slowly but I and my friend got to a place which had two trees opposite to each other. We had a very long rope. I cut it into three and tied the longest from one tree to another. I told Snigdha to take up a strong wooden stick or bunch and I took one myself, then we hid behind the tree.
We could see a beautiful hornbill sitting on a faraway tree. It was looking towards us. The ground below was covered with brown and golden leaves. The trees stood still without a bit of movement.

We could see the men coming. Our idea was that all of them will topple down. The armed men were leading and the driver followed back. The two of them came talking to each other but hurringly.
Without spoting the rope amidst the brown leaves in the ground, the two of them fell down together. THUDDD! Their guns escaped their hands. The man behind them was horrified on such a sudden fall. I saw Snigdha hit hard on the drivers head and the driver fell down on the ground. I was terrified, did the man die! Are we murderers? But at that moment nothing was there to think of.
