INTO THE WILD - Man Eater And Its Killer

ANOTHER KILLED!!!

That day, we enjoyed the lunch, but while eating, we saw that the group of three men came to stay in our resort. Jokingly, we had named them the 'old men group' and had named the group of Raj, Ram, Alok, and Ajay, as 'young men group'.

Basically, to the three of us, the old men group looked quite odd. Whenever we had seen them, they were doing something undesirable. So we were quite dissatisfied on their coming to our resort.

But they took a room on the ground floor. At night we took out chairs and sat on rhe ground outside talking. Sonia called me and Snigdha towards a side and said, "Wanna make this tour adventurous?"

We were extremely excited and asked her, "Yeah... Surely... But how?"

"I heard that a deer and two swamp francolin birds were shot dead yesterday. The people from the department of safety of animals had run to catch hold of the poachers but failed. They suspect that the criminal is still in here."

I asked, "So we will find the criminal?" and Snigdha and me started laughing. Sonia's face straightened and we understood that we have enraged her. She went out and was watching everything around her. We saw a man with a gun go on a car of the forest department, from the government. Perhaps the government was now posting special duty due to unruly poaching.

After breakfast we met our driver. He informed us that we can go for elephant safari between 3:00 p.m. and 5 p.m. So we planned to go on that Safari and that day we were to return earlier.
We were going by the car into another gate. Going inside we found many beautiful beautiful birds. The whole surrounding was echoing the beautiful chirping of the birds. At a distance, we saw two deer. On the whole journey, Sonia didn't talk with anyone. She was sitting on the front sit and gazing outside as far as her eyes could capture. At one place, we came down from the car to click some pictures of a one-horned rhinoceros.

While we were taking pictures suddenly I saw Sonia gazing at something on the ground. She sat down to take a closer look. I went and stood beside her. She completely ignored me. Then she grows up and started following a trail. I noticed them, there was a line of blood. It was perhaps the blood of animal which was being dragged. The part here was dry so we could not see any footprints but I found that Sonia had followed the trail and had discovered some footprints on the mud nearby. Then the foot prints had given way to the trailer of a car and we assume that the animal was then taken into a car.

Suddenly I found my father calling me and I had to return but Sonia were still there. When we started our journey back, I sat beside Sonia but she didn't talk with me. I asked her many questions but she ignored me. Atlast, being fed up with her silence, I begged her to forgive me and speak with her. She smiled and said, "Okay!!! I see..."
"What?"
"Another animal has been brutally murdered yesterday night. That's why there is extra protection. What can a single man do in front of so many?"

I asked her, "How do you know that there are many men?"
She looked at me and said, "Bad assistant. Very poor observation."

I wondered what I had missed.....
