THE MOON HITS DIFFERENT

My alarm went off and i opened my eyes just to see reiji sleeping peacefully. He probably got no sleep last night. Parental issues hurts a lot. I did not want to disturb him so i brushed my teeth and left the room. The day passed and my conditions were not getting any better. I felt really weak today. My head felt dizzy and i would pass out while sitting doing nothing. It was the aftereffects of losing so much blood.

I was standing on the little bridge on the garden as i watched the water in the pond flow with the wind. It was midnight and i was not feeling sleepy. 'Sup ?' , ash said as he came and stood near me . 'all well , was not feeling sleepy so .'i said with a sigh as i looked at him . 'same ', he said while looking at the water. We stood there for some time not talking and taking in the breeze.  I could feel his gaze at my bandaged wound . 'You should not try to escape now , that guy is a total psychopath ' he said . 'i won't, i am too scared to have hope now ', i said with a straight face. He went silent at my words as his gaze became softer. He probably pitied me . I looked up in the sky and it was time . I smiled at him and held his hand ,'come with me , I'll show u something',i said as i took him to the side of the pond.

I sat there and put both my legs in the cool water and i gestured him to do the same. He looked at me and said 'are you serious' . I nodded and he smirked and sat next to me. 'Now, what ?',he said as he raised his eyebrows . 'gosh ',he squeaked as he felt tingling in his legs.  'Shh', i asked him to stay quiet and look in the water . He relaxed and looked at the water and by his look , was clearly amazed at seeing small fishes shining in the water and were poking at our legs . The moon was at the to of us , due to which its light was being reflected on the fish's skin making it shine gorgeously . It looked as if there were stars at our feet .

Ash started smiling like a baby and was being all excited . He never saw it before probably. We enjoyed the view for some time when he finally pointed at my cross chain in my neck . ' u still believe in your God, he did not save you when u needed him ',he questioned me . ' I don't think he will save me either, but I can't stop believing in him', i said as i touched my neckpiece and smiled. He stared at me and said ,'why are you being so nice to me , huh , after what i did to you ... do you like me ?', he had a cocky smile on his face . 'Who said i m not angry at you, i am furious ', i said as i narrowed my eyes at him .'But why will it matter , i can't even touch a strand of your hair ' , i said as i stretched my body and i laid down with my legs still in the water .

He smiled as he started to look up in the sky . 'Ash' i called him in a very low tone voice . 'yes', he was still staring at the moon . 'i know .....that you hate me because i have her heart ', i said as i stared at the beautiful full moon . He finally looked at me with a strange expression . I continued , 'but don't worry, i don't feel better despite all the treatment I'm taking, my body might give up in few days then that woman will finally be gone for good from your life' , i said as i felt a pain in my heart and my  body felt weaker.

He looked at me with genuine sympathy in his eyes but when i looked at him, he soon tried to cover up by forcing a smirk on his face. 'Then , what's your death wish', he was back with his cocky attitude. 'Just Dont transplant this heart to someone else , it would cause a lot of trouble again ', i smiled and pulled my body up as i felt sleepy now . He laughed at this silly joke . I stood up and said 'ok , i m off to my bed now , goodnight ' as i walked towards the mansion . I could feel his gaze following me , so i turned and waved at him . He waved back and i went in.

Ash's pov

I did not want her to go . I could talk to her for the whole night. I thought she was weak like others but this girl is something else. She felt warm and peaceful. I sighed after sitting there for some time and then went in. In the morning, i woke up and i went to Nina.

'hey , what's in breakfast today?'i asked .'pancakes', she answered while arranging some medicine in a plate . Ofcourse it was for rize. 'she don't look so good, do you give her vampire blood, it will heal her faster', i said . She was shocked hearing these words from me . Tbh , even i was .
'Yes , Shu comes every morning to give some of his blood and i mix it with her medicines.', she said while filling a glass of water. Wow , shu ?!?

'take mine instead , his blood clearly is not working', i said quickly . She looked at me for some time clearly confused. But then she nodded and went to her room. I can't even believe my own words, what is happening to me ?
