Author's note
I have a few things for today.1. On Monday the 2nd of March i reached 2k reads!!! Thank youuu! ❤️
2. The day after on Tuesday the 3rd I reached 100 comments!!! Thank youu! ❤️
I am not that happy with this chapter it was actually a bit hard to write because I've tried to show you that Samantha and Jacob are getting closer but it was quite hard to find a way to do that so I'm sorry if it isn't up to scratch. I also updated a bit late. Usually I update Thursday mornings but today I've updated Thursday night... It was finished in time but I just wanted to try and fix it- which still didn't work and last weeks chapter was so short I wanted to make this one a bit longer. But yeah sorry.
Anyways love you all and thank you all so much! x

"Often in life we fall; occasionally losing ourselves. We make mistakes and stupid decisions towards things we are blinded into thinking will make us 'cool' or likeable. It's so important to us that we'll do anything just to achieve it. And then one day through all these mistakes and hardships you'll meet your hero. Maybe it's someone you already knew or a complete stranger; but this person- whoever it may be, will save you. Save you from making the wrong choices, losing yourself but most importantly, this person will save you from yourself. You can call them your angel, hero or guardian; but this person- make sure you never lose them." She spoke with a sure, clear voice, all the while looking at Jacob despite the twenty-nine or so others in the room. Applause sounded as right hand met left of everybody in the class.
"Well done Miss Maroon. Perfect piece!" Acknowledged Mrs Paly, taking the sheet with Kayla's words written upon it out her hand and leaving the girl to walk back to her assigned seat in the middle row.
At the sound of the bell ringing, fifty-eight feet shuffled out of their seats, pulling their bags onto their shoulders eager to leave for the day.
"Awesome writing Kay." Jacob said, putting his arm around the girl's shoulders as they exited the class together.
"Thanks Jakey." She laughed
"Are you gonna tell me who it's about?" He asked in a teasing voice.
She gave another little laugh, turning her head to look at him; her laugh dying down when Jacob also turned to look at her with a waiting expression.
"Seriously?"
"Uhmm yeah...?" Jacob replied with a laugh of his own.
"Oh, well it was... It was about uhh..."
"You don't have to tell me." He said understandingly with a shrug.
Staying quite, Kayla contemplated whether he knew or actually didn't.
"This is my stop." She said pointing to the door leading to the outside courts which was also Jacob's exit, had he noticed if he wasn't looking somewhere into the crowd of students filling the hall.
"Cya Kay." He said turning to smile at her.
"Bye Jakey." She replied before she disappeared through the doors and Jacob was already making his way to the girl facing into her locker.
Smiling to himself he realized that she was almost always at her locker when he saw her. 'Maybe I should call her locker girl' he thought with a cheeky grin.
Placing both hands over her eyes when he reached her, 'guess who?' Jacob said. Jumping slightly, Samantha dropped the books she had been holding.
"Gosh Jacob, don't do that." She said with a hand on her heart.
