Zülfüleyfe, gathering up her dress, stood up. Touching Sariye's shoulder, she said;

"The real part is just beginning, listen to my beauty. Senas pulled himself together. The sound of the people inside, who wants to learn what is happening, started to get louder. The saint facing him asked him to tell them what he has seen when he is ready so that everyone would understand what is happening. So Senas started to relate"

"Sir, I did not open my eyes. I mean I closed them here and kept them shut there as well. I was in a place and time completely different and independent from here.

I was wandering in the marketplace and came across a shepherd selling sheep. One of the sheep caught my eye, it was so attractive. It was snow white and well structured. I approached the shepherd and asked for the price of the sheep.

He told me the price and I reached out for my pocket. I had just enough money to cover what the shepherd asked for. I gave him the money and bought the sheep, going back home.

I was living in a small house out in the woods with a wide opening in the front. I took the sheep there. A couple of days later there was this old man who came across my house. His was staring at my new sheep.

This old man with a very decent face came up to me and asked me to sacrifice my sheep under Lord's will and to eat it together. I agreed without a blink of an eye and we sacrificed that beautiful sheep of mine together.

That day, the old man and I benefited more than enough from the meat of the sheep. Heaven knows why we did not talk much throughout the night. He stayed overnight as my guest and we went to sleep early. When I woke up in the morning the old man was already gone.

He left a note at his bedside. It read; 'let the Lord increase the number of your animals'. He wrote that but it did not mean much since I had no animals left.

A couple of weeks later, two men arrived. They asked me whether I was Senas and delivered me ten sheep. They told me that they are gifts and then left. After one year these animals grew and turned into a sheep herd.

By then, I had helpers since I was unable to take care of all of them.

I saw twenty soldiers approaching the house while I was upstairs. I went downstairs to assist them.

They told me their wish to accommodate and rest. These soldiers stayed with me for a long while. They asked me to sacrifice 2 sheep per day to be offered as meals.

The time came when we slaughtered the last sheep in the house and the soldiers left the same day. Yet again, I was left with no animals. After a while, two of these soldiers came back to take me to the palace.

I mounted my horse and we left for the palace altogether. The soldiers have reported what I have done for them to the King and he appreciated it a lot. When I went in, he came and hugged me.

'I will also take good care of you' he said. I was living in the palace when the King called for me. When I went to see him, there was a girl with him.

'This is my daughter Dilyaz' he said. I want you to get married if you agree with it. When I looked at Dilyaz, she seemed willing. I favored the idea but stated that I wanted to live in my home rather than the palace.

King approved my request, getting us married and then sending us back to my house with a couple of helpers. I was in love with Dilyaz. We had a very happy life during which we had two lovely children. Meanwhile, the number of our animals was constantly increasing.

One of King's viziers came to visit us. I did not see Dilyaz around much during his visit.

This vizier came for a second time and I was then trying to understand the reason behind these visits. I asked Dilyaz after he left and that's how I learned that he wanted to marry her way back then. But the King did not know anything about this.

Two months passed and another pair of soldiers arrived informing me that I was called to the palace. I hit the road. However, on our way to the palace, these two soldiers took me off my horse and attacked me.

The next thing I remember was waking up in a dungeon. This vizier arrived shortly. He told me that no one is capable of getting something that belongs to him and that King would arrive soon to announce my death sentence.

It was obvious that he had laid a plot against me but I had no idea what it was. King arrived and seriously insulted me. I understood that it has been four days since I left home, that is, I have been in an unconscious state for the past four days.

King sentenced me to the death penalty but I did not even know my crime. He just told me that I shall be executed the next evening with two other men and then left.

Next day, time, which is always so slow to pass, flew like a minute and evening arrived rapidly. Two soldiers came to take me to the gallows. There was this giant hangman whose face was covered, holding a big sword in his hand.

They made me lie down on my knees. At that moment, I looked at the King and told him that I wanted to write something to Dilyaz. I wrote exactly what I have written to this paper in front of me. Then I gave the paper to the King. I turned my head and stared at my hangman.

Hangman's face was dark. I could see the crescent moon at the backside of his head. That was what I saw last: the hangman and the moon, then I shut my eyes tight.

The onlookers were counting down ... ten, nine, eight. When they reached zero, I opened my eyes and you were standing right here, in front of me."

Sariye, under the intense effect of the story, was staring at her friend.

Zülfüleyfe kept on talking.

"When I first listened to this, something did not fit into my mind, there was always a missing part. I often tried to dig in further but Mihca told me there was time for it. The dream I saw, it was quite similar to this. I lived every moment, every part of it as real.

Believe me, when you experience such intensity, you develop a better understanding of all these things being told.

It is time and Mihca has to tell me every detail now" she said.

Sariye kept her silence for a while, it was as though she was drifting far away. But then she straightened and said;

"I guess this turned into a mystery for both of us. If you learn anything, I also would like to know it. It looks as though we have no choice but to wait for Mihca and your father..."

My appeal from Baghdad, good morning,

With your precious name, I leave Damascus trembling.

Good morning, my utter darkness Mecca night,

My bright Medina daylight.

Good morning, sacred in al-Aqsa

The one I open my hands to, the one in whose heart I send all my love to.

Sun will rise with or without you,

But the day will brighten up only with you.
