Word about me and Sasuke got out faster than I expected. Within the next month, it seemed everyone knew we were together, and I couldn't be happier. I was Sasuke Uchiha's girlfriend. The one and only.

I loved that everyone knew I was his, but I didn't like the way he made it known. When we would walk around the village together, he would hold me tightly by the waist and slip his hand into my back pocket.

"I want everyone to know you're mine," he'd whisper in my ear when I'd protest the PDA.

Nothing could stop me from melting at his words. But much to my dismay, nothing could stop my friends and family from frowning when they saw us together. Especially Ino and my dad.

My father wasn't talking to me again, but that was okay, I still had my brother. The silence in our house was eating me alive and I couldn't take it anymore so I decided to go to Asuma's instead.

"Hello?" I asked as I walked inside his house. It was oddly quiet, and smelled kinda weird.

"Asu? Are you home?"

I walked cautiously through the living room. "Asuma?" I asked again, peering into the kitchen which was also empty.

Suddenly I heard his back door slide open and I jumped. "Fuck, I need to sit down," My brother's voice boomed.

I turned around to see him and Shikamaru Naru coming in from his backyard. The weird smell grew stronger as they walked in.

"Oh, hey, (Y/n), I didn't know you were stopping by," Asuma said with a crooked smile.

"Yeah, I just thought we could hang out or something."

"Hey, (y/n)," Shikamaru spoke up.

"Hey, Nara. Asu, what's that smell?" I asked covering my nose.

Both guys exchanged looks and laughed.

"Did you fart?"

They laughed even harder.

"What?!" I asked starting to get frustrated. What the hell was so funny?

"Maybe you should go back home," Asuma chuckled.

"I don't want to, that's why I came here. What's that smell?" I asked again.

Asuma and Shikamaru broke into goofy smiles again. "Should I tell her?" Shikamaru grinned.

"Nah, she's gonna freak out."

"No I won't," I promised.

"Yeah, she already looks like she's freaking out," Shikamaru laughed.

It's true, I hated not knowing things. When I was 11, I made Asuma tell me that they were planning a surprise party for my birthday. Being out of the loop kills me.

"I'm not! Just tell me?"

Asuma rolled his eyes and started to dig for something in his pocket. He pulled out a brown rolled up piece of paper.

"What's that? Some kind of cigarette?" I asked, confused.

They broke into a fit of laughter once again.

"I didn't know you were that innocent," Asuma chuckled.

"What is it then?" I asked, feeling my face grow hot with annoyance.

"It's a joint."

"A joint?! Asu, I thought you quit smoking."

"I quit smoking cigarettes," he corrected me.
