(VOTE/COMMENT/FOLLOW)"... I can't do it... Alone,"
For a moment, I sat there still. I wasn't sure about how I was feeling.
Angered?
Confused?
Disappointed?
Maybe it was a mixture of all."Shocked, you look," He spoke in an informing manner, bringing my focus back to him and earning a glare in return, but he managed to maintain eye contact even when I was trying to be intimidating.
Maybe I was overthinking, but I guess I saw amusement residing in those dark brown eyes.Letting out a sigh, I stood up. Most of the students had left the hall already as the recess must have been over.
There was no time for us to continue talking about this. All we need right now is a practical solution, and, as far as I can see, there's only one.
"You want me to help you, right?" I said, coming straight to the point.
He simply nodded in the affirmative putting on a mask of innocence.
"Fine, I will," I said picking up all my stuff.
"Then, six in the evening, my place."He said.
He didn't even ask.
"Oh hello, I'm not here taking all your orders and doing as you please. Why should I take the pains of coming up to your place?"
Pointing my index finger at him, I continued, "You need my help, but you're making it look as if it's the other way round."I would have agreed to work at his home had he been polite enough to ask. Since he didn't, I had to resent in order to maintain my pride.
But, why do I feel as if I called for trouble?"So, I'll be coming at yours, then," He said, standing up to his feet and making me raise my head to look up at him.
Unwillingly, I responded saying, "Yeah!" and turned around briskly walking away from him and out of the hall.

I have double-checked everything.
Double seems to be too less a number here. After all, it's my room that is about to have someone other than me.
That too him.George likes to be in his room and isn't even allowed in mine most of the time, while Dad always calls me out whenever he needs to ask something or for helping him out with anything.
Generally, we three are together when we're either in the drawing-room, or the kitchen and the dining area, and once in a while, watching a movie in the theatre room down in the basement.
That is why it feels so rare and awkward to have someone else seated beside me in my room.
I had organized all my belongings, changed the bedsheets, and placed both the chairs I had in my room near the study table.
Thankfully, there was enough space for two to work on it. I took out my project that had been compiled already and placed it on the table for reference. I felt content looking at it.
I took a final look all around. It's not like my room is messy the rest of the days, but just that today it's cleaner than usual. By the kind of efforts I've put in, even the room must be thinking that something is wrong with me.
Feeling satisfied enough, I walked towards my phone which was getting charged. I checked the time.
05:49 pm.
Oh, God!Since the battery was full, I unplugged the phone, glanced at myself in the mirror once again to make sure I looked fine, and then ran down to the hall.
