"But what if I like it here?" He said with a smirk and I lost my tongue.

I pushed him down and got up with that support. He started getting up too and now I could control my eyes. I looked anywhere but at him.

Think Hannah, think. Only you can help yourself now.

I ran my hand through my hair and then it clicked.

Hairpin.

I need a hairpin.

I had none in my hair but I definitely have some in my bag.

I almost ran to the table, grabbed the bag, opened the side zip and took it out.

Perfect.

I turned back with my bag and phone and ran to the door. Once I reached it, I sat on my knees and inserted the hairpin in the keyhole.

Take the pin as far as it goes in, tilt it a little bit upwards and then rotate it a ninety degrees towards the right.

I heard a click sound and knew it was unlocked.

I stood up and opened the door.
Turning around, I answered his last asked question.

"If you like it here, then stay." With this said, I gave him my sweetest smile possible as a mock.

He was standing beside the table with one hand in the jeans pocket while the other one rested on the table.

The expression on his face was unusual and unreadable, but one thing was as usual- his eyes didn't leave me.

With a feeling of victory, I waved my hand in a good bye, the fake smile still on. Turning around, I started walking through the corridor, heading towards the stairs.

The school seamed almost empty and all the rooms were locked.

Were we that late?
I checked the time.

05:42 p.m.

When?

We had been up there in the room for almost three hours. Why didn't I realise it?

The last thing I want now is that the main doors are locked up too.

I got to the main door of the building and thankfully, a guard was there who opened it for me. He said that he knew someone was still in the building as there was a car in the parking area, and that just a few minutes ago he had gone for a round to check the entire building but couldn't find or hear anyone.

Then he must have come after the great fall.

I thanked him for waiting and informed him that there is one more person inside who might be coming out anytime soon.

He said that he thought just a single person was there because only one car was left to leave. He asked me to go and that he'll take care of it.

With that I started walking towards my car, still not over my feeling of triumph. Each step screamed pride and joy.

This feeling is what I like. The best part of today. Well the only good part, to be honest.

And this calls a treat for George.

Many of our fights have resulted in him locking me up in my room as a revenge. Thanks to him, I was able to master the art of using hairpins and other sharp tools as a key.

Sometimes, people can do good by not being good.

Most of the time he is completely useless to me. But today was an exception. He got useful without even being around.
