"Now, were you following me?" He spoke up in a deep husky voice as the lamps lit up the entire alley revealing those loathsome yet handsome features.
It was the jerk himself looking at me with eyes full of mockery and delight.
I completely forgot the situation where I was stuck because at present I was paying more attention to those beautiful features and glittering eyes that were not willing to leave mine. I noticed that it was not just beauty in them. They were filled with... amusement.
He clicked his fingers in front of my eyes to bring me back to the juncture.
"What? Where are you?" He questioned.
"Umm... I..." How am I supposed to reply to that.
Where was I?
Oh, I was just admiring your eyebrows. How come they are so thick and beautiful?
No, I was counting your eyelashes.
Or maybe I was relishing the way your face was as perfect as it could get."Here you are lost again." He repeated.
Okay, now this is being too much of it. I need to come back to my senses or else he might sense that his presence makes me lose all my senses.
"I had asked you the reason why you were following me here. I thought you said you knew the ways," he said the smirk still on, "but now, it feels as if you were lying." He completed, his voice becoming huskier as he spoke.
"I... I..." My brain was in the process of making a good reply, but then he placed his hands on either side of my head, caging me in, disturbing the thought process.
I can't let him intimidate me. He is doing this deliberately. I should not be feeding his ego anymore.
I pushed him away from me making him stumble back a few steps.
"I am not lost and I am telling you this for the last time. I was just curious and that's why I came after you. Stop giving yourself too much importance, okay? Now get out of my way."
"You have enough space to leave, don't you think so? Or, are you doubting your size?" He taunted and that stupid smirk took over his lips, again.
Argh! I hate him.
I rolled my eyes and treaded away out of the corridor and out of his sight.
I was just walking out of an alley and was about to enter the other when I heard sounds of laughter and people talking. Finally found the place! Today, I discovered a fun fact- anger can even serve as a navigator for you.
Following the sounds, I finally entered the seating area and suddenly, I was the center of attention. Everyone had their eyes on me, with a somewhat serious, yet confused expression on their faces.
I could see from my peripheral vision that he was already sitting there. Of course! He had to be here before me even though I left first. And, obviously, he had George sitting beside him.
I looked at Dad, then Mr. Roach, and then at Mrs. Roach as I heard her ask, "What took you so long, Hannah?"
"Yes, you kept us waiting," Mr. Roach said.
"I had even sent Aiden to look up for you but even he returned all alone," Dad said in a little bit of bafflement.
"Umm... Yes, I just took a wrong turn, that's it," I replied, feeling foolish. This was followed by a giggle from George. It took all my energy and self-control to not pass him a glare.
I need to do something about this boy.
