"Why are you here?" Alora mumbled as Anakin gently helped her into his speeder. She didn't want to see him right now.
"Padme said you were very intoxicated and she was right. You can't come out to places like this looking like that and getting this drunk. You could've gotten hurt." Anakin sighed as he began flying to the Amidala's apartment. He couldn't help but still feel rage within him watching the way that man held her waist and man handled the smaller girl. He didn't even know why he was so enraged.
"Well I told you earlier that I was going to leave you alone and I can't do that if you won't leave me alone" Alora argued, still intoxicated just not to the level of incomprehension like she was earlier. The whole ordeal with that pathetic idiot sobered her up just a tiny bit. Enough to recognize that she was still upset at Anakin and still hurt by his actions which lead to her not really wanting to see him. Even through all these negative emotions towards him, she still couldn't help but admire just how attractive he was with his curly blonde hair and defined features. So maybe a part of her did want to see him.
"I don't want to stay away from you" he answered honestly, making the usually confident girl blush at his words. Of course, she blamed it on the alcohol.
Anakin landed the speeder on the speeder deck of Padme's apartment and quickly got out so he could help Alora out. She was already having enough issues walking drunk let alone in the shoes she had decided to wear that night. He lifted her out by her waist, trying to ignore the way his hands nearly wrapped completely around the girl and the way he could feel the heat from her skin through the material of the dress.
"Well, since you are here and don't want me to ignore you I say we have a drink. As a truce" Alora wakes and talked as she grabbed out a bottle of white wine from Padme's liquor cabinet.
"I think you've had enough" Anakin chuckled.
"I can handle my alcohol" The blonde stated, knowing very well she really couldn't handle her alcohol all that well but she just wanted to have a little toast with Anakin to get over their argument.
"One glass" Anakin huffed, sitting down on the soft navy couch that faced out towards the city. The view from his spot was amazing as the night owls all flew by in their fancy speeders and the tall skyscrapers lit up the night.
Alora walked over and sat beside him, laying a leg on the couch and hanging her other one over the edge as she faced him, handing him his glass of wine. "We have to tap glasses or I'm still mad at you" She smirked, raising her glass a little. Anakin laughed and lightly tapped his glass against hers before they both took long sips of the alcohol.
They say in silence for a few minutes, just enjoying the silence and the view. Alora had kicked off her heels and was sipping on her wine instead of taking large sips, she was already intoxicated and didn't need to black out again. She was content. "Thank you for coming to get me." She finally spoke, breaking the silence. "Even if you were mad at me too, I appreciate your help."
Her voice was soft in comparison to the other times her and Anakin had spoken. She was being genuine. Real. "Padme was pretty upset and worried about you. Plus, after seeing that guy try to force you out of the club I'm glad I came as soon as she told me where you were. I was worried about you too." Anakin admitted.
"That stuff happens all the time or guys hit on me a lot and are aggressive about it. I should be used to it by now" Alora sighed, thinking off all the times similar situations occurred. It was actually a very scary thought and brought back some dark memories.
"That's not something you should just accept" Anakin frowned, once again feeling anger build up inside him at the way people treat the girl. Yes, she was beautiful and yes, she was a bit crazy and liked to play guys but that doesn't mean she should be taken advantage of. The thought of someone doing something to her that she didn't consent to made him see red.
"I know, I know." She sighed. "I also normally don't get that wasted." She laughed slightly.
"How did you get served? You aren't of age to drink."
"I dont buy drinks, people buy them for me. It's all a game" Alora admitted. "You sit there, look pretty, and the drinks keep flowing."
"Well you definitely got the pretty part down" Anakin froze as soon as the words left his lips but try to play it off by just sipping his drink Cooly and looking into the city.
"Thank you, Anakin" Alora giggled. She felt giddy at his compliment, like a little school girl. That is, until she remembered he liked Padme. He was just being polite. "But Padme is prettier, right?" She stated almost bitterly. She didn't know why her mood was able to be shifted so easily over the topic.
Anakin didn't know what to say. He knew he had two options and that was to either tell her the truth about Padme or to brush off her comment. He had a feeling that if he just told her about his little crush and how he never really plans on acting on it that maybe she would understand. He also, didn't know why she was so hung up on his feelings for Padme. "Don't know when those words left my lips" Anakin mocked confusion as he took another sip of the sweet white wine.
"I don't think I like it here. I mean, I'd rather be here then with my mother but the people here are...different." Alora frowned as she spoke. Her surprising herself that she even admitted to that. The alcohol was definitely still having an effect.
"Coruscant and Naboo are for sure two very different entities" Anakin agreed.
"Yeah but it's like I feel so lonely" Alora admitted, looking down at her glass in embarrassment. "I should just go find some random idiot to spend my time with but I don't know...like I said its different here."
"You don't have to feel lonely, you have Padme and you have me." Anakin offered a kind smile to the girl, taking the time to admire her beauty. She was honestly so stunning and he was starting to feel like he didn't even belong in her presence as she sat there watching the speeders fly by, the city lights reflecting off her emerald eyes. "But if that's enough, then I'm sure any guy on this planet would give you more then enough of their attention."
"That's not true" The blonde immediately retorted.
"I think it is. I told you, I here about you every where I go and it's men talking about you." Anakin chuckled.
"You said any guy on here and I know for a fact that's not true. I'm looking at one of the odd ones out right now" Alora rolled her eyes bitterly as she looked at Anakin with a pointed look.
This once again put Anakin in a tough spot and got the young Jedi thinking. Earlier he was refusing her because he didn't want to mess up any chances he had with Padme but now he had a reality check and Padme was essentially out of the picture. He just met the girl and was a general in the war so it wasn't like he wanted a relationship- not that Alora wanted on either. Anakin also thought about all the stress he's been under lately and how he could easily make Alora his little frequent hook up and help relieve that stress with a pretty girl.
He just might have to reconsider her offer.
"Once again those words never left my lips" Anakin smirked. Alora narrowed her eyes at him, trying to decide if he was teasing her, if she was blacked out and hearing things, or if he was dead serious. "I don't know, we might be useful to each other." He shrugged, giving in to the beautiful girl beside him.
"What are you suggesting" the blonde smirked, knowing full well what he was suggesting and becoming beyond happy and proud of herself.
Instead of answering, Anakin threw the rest of his wine down his throat and put the glass down before sliding his hand around the back of the blondes neck and crashing his lips on hers.
