Alora finished curling the last piece of her blonde hair, running her fingers through the curls to break them up before heading to her closet to find a dress. She was successful in talking to Rush Clovis and was preparing for a 'dinner date'. She did not want to go but it was her duty now; Clovis was very strange and still gave her bad vibes. She would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous.
Padme told Alora that his favor colors were blue, black, deep purple so she obviously opted to find something to wear in those categories. She ended up in a deep purple dress that had a cowl neckline and low back, it suited her. She walked into the veranda where Padme, Obi Wan, and Anakin all sat waiting. "Here is a recorder, just leave it in your purse all night." Padme handed her a black silk clutch which only had a small silver box in it, the voice recorder.
"Anakin is going to fly you to the restaurant then bring you back here. He's going to watch from a distance so you will be safe" Obi Wan assured her. Alora simply nodded, starting to get a little nervous now.
"We should go, I'm already a couple minutes late" Alora admitted sheepishly. The three just shook their heads and helped the girl into the speeder.
"Am I still being ignored?" Anakin asked once they were away from the apartment. Alora debated it but she knew she wasn't mad anymore, she couldn't stay mad at him for long.
"No" she grumbled. Anakin smirked happily.
"Good. Alora, be careful and remember your not like actually going for him." Anakin silently hoped she didn't take that the wrong way or didn't catch on to his envy.
"Anakin I know. Besides he's not my type, he's a little creepy like you said." Alora giggled. "This is going to be the worst date ever."
"Well I'm sorry to hear that" Was all Anakin thought to say. The rest of the flight was silent and moments later they were parked in the restaurants hangar and walking up to the hostess. "I'm going to leave you now, I'll be in the corner somewhere. I promise I'm watching you though." Anakin left a quick kiss on the girls hand before slipping away leaving her alone.
"Good evening, I'm actually meeting a friend" Alora informed the host with a rapidly beating heart and sweaty palms.
"You can go find him, enjoy your evening." With that Alora walked into the extravagantly beautiful restaurant searching for the tall dark haired man. When she spotted him, his eyes turned to her and he offered a kind smile as he stood up held his hands out to her. Alora gave him her hands and watched as he kissed them both, her mind immediately flashing back to when Anakin kissed her hand.
"You look...exquisite" Clovis complimented, pulling out her chair for her and helping her sit.
"Thank you" Alora smiled. Her eyes cautiously flitted across the room, hoping to catch the sight of her favorite Jedi to ease her nerves but she was un able to see him.
The dinner was filled with nothing useful. All it consisted of us Clovis' compliments and bold attempts at flirting and Alora just thanking him, she didn't need to speak any fake compliments because clearly he wanted her. She had him right where she needed him.
"This dinner was lovely especially because I had such a wonderful companion. It's a shame that I'll be away for a few days but when I come ba-"
"Away? Where are you heading?" Alora rushed out, finally paying attention to something he was saying. Maybe she would get something and this horrible night would be worth it.
"Unfortunately nowhere exciting. Cato Namodia for business. One of my colleagues will be hosting me while discuss an important business plan regarding the banking league." He explained. Time to work some magic, Alora thought.
