"Let me get another round of those weird purple shots" one of the many, drunk and disgusting men shouted at the blonde waitress who only worked to escape the pressures of her own home. Alora rolled her eyes but finished putting down the drinks at another table of hers before going to grab the shots.

"Al, you can go after this. I can take care of the rest, I know you have been here like nearly all day." Genie, the sweet lady who owned the bar said to the wealthy girl. Genie knew how Alora had trouble fitting in in her family and wanted to give her an escape; especially because working at the dive bar would be better for the girl than getting drunk and hooking up with random men who were twice her age.

"Thanks G, it's been a rough day. Those drunken idiots undertipped me by like 15 credits off a 200 credit bill. And not to mention, they poured the clear liquor all over my feet." Alora complained, looking down at the worn out non-slip shoes she wore on her feet. "Plus, there's a lakeside party tonight that I would love to attend" she grinned, pushing a stray blonde ringlet out of her eyes.

"Al, you know you can go a day or two without drinking away your liver" Genie frowned. "I know you don't like to hear this but you have people who actually care about your well being."

"I'm not even going to drink. I'm going because I'm almost positive my parents have been in contact with my sister and I do not want to know why." Alora knew last time they came in contact, her sister was calling and yelling about her behavior. Apparently, she caused a senator who was on a retreat to cheat on his wife and Padme found out and was not too happy about that.

"Well, go give him his shots then go home. For me. Please just go home and rest, your looking sick. Have you eaten?" Genie was like the mother Alora wished she had. Instead, she was stuck with a women who acted as though her own daughter was an outsider to the family. Her mother wanted her to be a politician, a senator while Alora just wanted to live out the life she was given flying across the galaxy and seeing all the sights of the universe.

"Fine, I promise I won't go" Alora lied, she knew she would go home first to change out of her work uniform then she would go straight to the lake's beach.

"Thank you. Now get outta here" Genie smiled. Alora smiled fakely back and ran the tray of shots to the unruly creatures who nearly snatched them up. She dropped the tray in the back, hung up her apron and left. She chose to walk to her ridiculously large home as the evening air in Naboo was so fresh and clean; it felt nice to be sucked into her lungs then released as Carbon Dioxide.

The second she walked in the door she felt the energy shift. She did not like the feeling she was given. "Alora, could you please change out of those...clothes then come into the family room." She heard her mother call. The blonde nineteen year old rolled her eyes at the attitude in her voice regarding her work uniform but tan up the steps to change.

She took off the short skirt and tight long sleeve top she had to wear to work and put on something more 'appropriate' for the party. This new outfit was a blue velvet dress that was tight around the bust and flowed out to about her mid thigh and had cute puffy sleeves that cuffed her bicep. She slipped on some golden heels and slipped a mini bottle in her little bag she carried with her because she knew she would need it after seeing her mother in a moment.

The moment the rowdy teen walked into the family room she froze. Sitting there, looking regal as always, was her sister who sat with a scowl on her face. Alora's mood immediately shifted as she was now a little nervous; Padme only came home for a few reasons and most of them were not good. "Hello Alora, lovely to see you again." Padme offered, erasing the scowl from her lips and replacing it with a small smile.

"Hello Padme. How have you been?" Alora gulped, as much as she tried to act as though she was fearless and independent, Padme was intimidating to her. She was the epitome of perfection while Alora turned herself into a girl with an image of partying and irresponsibility.

"Well you would know if you called every once in a while." Padme sighed. "But I hear you are working now which is something I love to hear. As much as mom despises it, I think it's good for you."

"Keeps me busy and out of the house" was all Alora said as she sat down across from her family.

"Alora, me and your father have been talking for quite some time and we refuse to sit around and allow you to act the way you do. You are an adult yet you act as a child and it is embarrassing. Our family name is one that belongs in politics and your sister can not be senator forever, you should be next. Therefore, we have all made a decision on your behalf-"

"On my behalf?" Alora scoffed. "You said it yourself, I'm an adult. I make my own choices."

"No, you should be an adult but you do not act like it" Jobal snapped. "And you will start to learn to act your age in Coruscant, participating in the young politician program. Only those who are blood related to someone in the system are invited and we had to beg the president of the program to allow you to be put in. After much talking and begging, they agreed and you will go."

Alora's heart was pounding in her chest as the anger rose within her. "You can't do this!" She yelled standing up abruptly.

"Stop throwing a tantrum, your nineteen not nine. Pack your things you leave in an hour with your sister, who by they way, is your mentor. So you will be living under her roof under her rules. It's time to grow up Alora." Jobal saw the sadness and anger in her youngest daughters eyes but could not let it go. There was war and it was not safe here and she needed her daughter to grow into the women she knew was inside of her. "We are doing this because we love you. Now please, go pack. Padme will help."

"Come on Al" Padme sighed, knowing very well her youngest sister was not going to give in too easily.

Alora was speechless and absolutely livid. She knew there was nothing she could do now though instead she stood up and went upstairs to pack her things.
