Murai's POV:
Cent claimed that I would lead to Zero's downfall. What does that mean exactly? We needed more information. Also, I really wanted to get back at the stupid idiot for capturing me. It was getting dark so we rested nearby some ruins where their was an oasis with a lake. Once we got settled I was away from the group to try and process what that Idiot said. I took off my shirt by the lake washing my face, neck and hair to keep it wet from the heat.
Zero's POV:
Once we got situated and were resting, I need to think about what Two's idiot disciple was saying. It's probably just some bullshit to threaten me or something.
Decadus: It would appear that Lady Two places great trust in her Disciple.
Dito: Why are saying that in front of Zero? Jealous?
Decadus: N-No! It was hardly my intention to imply that-
Zero: I really don't care.
Decadus: ...Oh. Very well then.
Dito: Too bad freak! No ball kicks for you today! Ha ha ha ha!
Octa: Still, how odd that Murai is to be Lady Zero's downfall.
Zero: You never believe what your enemy tells you.
Dito: So, you're not worried at all by that?
Zero: .....No, I'm not.
Dito: You sure about that?
Zero: Just shut up!
A couple of hours had passed and I went to check on Murai. He was by the lake for awhile. As I went to look, I saw him by the lake with his shirt off. It didn't faze me at all but then I felt this feeling again. What is it?
Murai: *sighs* I know your there. You don't have to just stand there.
He turns around and faces me. I then walk up to him. That feeling was stronger then ever. I looked away from him. I couldn't even look at him in the eyes. Then-
Murai: Hey!
Zero: Huh?
We got my attention.
Murai: Is their something you wanted say?
Zero: *Clears throat* No I uh...
He put his shirt and jacket back on. I couldn't answer him.
Murai: Uh, you alright. Your not as tempered as usual.
Zero: Uh, shut up!
Murai: Ha! There's the Zero I know.
Zero: Are you worried at all?
Murai: About what?
Zero: About what that Idiot said.
Murai: ... Well I don't know what he ment by that. This hole time I'm trying to figure out what ment by that. We have no connection so why would he say that?
Zero: ........
Murai: *Sighs* I told you where I came from right. Well, The times and well everything is different there. I couldn't stand by and let people look down on others and hurt them. I only tagged along you to put a stop to peoples suffering. But now, it's seems like it's more then that. I don't know what though. But, ... You seem to be a rush to just die. Why?
I look down and remember.
Zero: ........ Because... I'm already dead.
Murai: What?!
Zero: ....It's nothing for you to worry about.
Murai: Too late. You already peeked my curiousty.
This time, I didn't want to tell him anything. So I turned around head back to the others.
Murai: Hey! Don't walk away from me! I'm in this to!
He grabs my right arm. I look back, and the feeling came back stronger. He turned his head not trying to stare at me. He really is trying to be kind to me despite how cruel I am. I feel my face starting to blush and I move left hand up to his face, getting his attention. He blushed alittle bit. His face, it felt warm as my hand felt his face cheek.
Murai: uh hey.....
Zero: ......
I moved my body closer to him felt him against me. It was warm and comforting.
Murai's POV:
For some reason, I don't know why but, I could feel Zero's warmth, her hand on my face. I could see her beautiful red-pink eye. She pressed her body against me and I blushed even more. Their was a long moment of us just look at each other. Was I feel affection for Zero? Or something else? Then, I realize she gets closer, almost like she wanted to kiss me. But then, she backed off and looked embarrassed.
Zero: L-Let's get back.
Murai: Y-Yeah...
We joined the others to discuss our next move.
Dito: So anyone know where the Shrine of Sands is? ...Anyone? ...Show of hands? ...Thaaat's what I thought.
Zero: Guess we'll just have to wander around like Idiot's until we stumble into it.
Decadus: I heard tell the nearby ruins are being used as barracks for the enemy troops.
Murai: We could try that, if it gets us anywhere.
Mikhail: So what should I do?
Murai: You and Lailah fly up scout ahead of us.
Lailah: Very well.
Mikhail: You got it!
We then procceded to head through to the underground ruins to find the Shrine and Two herself.
