Mark sloan is still one of the best plastic surgeons in the country and alongside him is Jackson Avery. He called them both the plastic posse.
Mark never really had a good love life. He was only ever in love with Addison but she couldn't love him the way he loved her. He went to Seattle to start new and that was when one of the interns knocked on his hotel room and went in then striped her clothes off and told him to teach her. The girl turns out to be Lexie Grey who he eventually fell in love with.
Lexie and Mark started dating for quite some time before another girl appeared and said that she was his daughter and she was pregnant. Mark didn't new he had a daughter and when Lexie found out that she questioned her choices and whether she was ready to be a Grandma, for which she stayed. and then, Callie found out she was pregnant with Mark's baby which was the last straw for Lexie and so they both decided to breakup. while on the break mark met a new girlfriend but he knew she wasn't Lexie. Lexie built up the courage to tell mark she was still in love with him and was never over him. They then got back together because they both knew they were each others soulmate. no one ever made mark feel that much of happiness but Lexie.
When mark and Lexie were on a break mark went to see Addison at her private practice and that was when he slept with her, again. he told Addison that he wanted a family with her and that he could move to her and work at the private practice. But Addison asked him if that's what he really wanted and if She is who he really wanted or if it was lexie. she made him realise that lexie is who he wanted and she is one of the reasons he came to the realisation and got them together
