the poor goldfish in the tank
it's floating upside down
eyes wide open
almost as if it had drowned
did i do this
is this all my fault
it's too late to ask now
maybe this wasn't freshwater
maybe it was salt
i flush it down the toilet
and it swirls down the drain
bye bye goldfish
at least it no longer feels pain
