Perrie's POV

Around 3 pm we finally arrived to my favourite Turkish restaurant on Manchester. I was happy I could visit it with someone else, cuz Alex always chooses any other place over this. Bad news is... I wasn't feeling the ravenous hunger I was expecting to feel. And I'm not sure why, but if you ask me, I blame the fact I've been distracted.

During the whole day, I haven't been able to take my mind out of how sweet Jade has been with me lately. I can't get over how good she reassures me when I'm in a crisis, the way she relieves me when I feel pain, or other symptoms. Her sweet words on the skate rink... she's been the most amazing, cutest thing in the world, today. And not just that, but she makes me feel safe and happy. I have no idea how on earth am I ever going to give it back to her.

... so, I hope she accepts food. Teehee! Not to fear, cuz as soon as we checked the menu, the hunger came back to me; we ordered chickpea hummus for the starter, and a selection of mezes for two as the main course – which included my favourite lamb-stuffed dumplings, grilled meatballs and a rice salad to die for! I mean, after all, I'm 'eating for two', right?

... no, but I've been using that excuse and 'the cravings' one, a little too much lately. I should stop... someday.

Anyway... right now, we were just chatting over dessert. And yes, we still had space for some delicious sweet baklava with ice cream. With my stomach full and my feet up – after Jade helped me hide my sitting position on the semi-circular booth we were -, I felt in heaven.

"When was the last time we went out like this?" I asked her, taking another spoonful of ice cream right into my mouth.

"To a restaurant?" Jade thought, grabbing her Turkish tea cup. "Like... during tour, wasn't it?"

"No, I mean..." I smiled. "... just the two of us".

I reminisced those times when we used to scramble our way out of the apartment we shared back then. Without planning it, we just strolled down the city in search for fresh air and better food than what we could improvise with the stuff in the freezer.

"Ooh... so long ago, hun" she said, maybe reminding the same old times as me.

"We should start doing it again" I proposed her.

"Yeah, we definitely should" she nodded. A little nostalgic maybe, knowing that with the pass of time, it was less likely to squeeze meetings as such in our schedule.

Well... at least I still got to see her every day at work.

"Oh, no" Jade mumbled out of nowhere. When I realized, she had her phone in her hand, buzzing.

"What is it?"

She turned around the screen so I could see the picture on the incoming caller id. Jordan.

Ha... for a moment there I forgot about him.

"Well... answer it" I told her, confused for the fact she was still looking at me. Like, baby, what do you want me to do?

"Mmh... but it'll be rude if I do it here, and I don't want to stand up" she whined. "I'm too full".

I chuckled.

"Well, then don't go anywhere" I asked her. "Don't worry about me. Just answer".

Jade did as I told her. I hoped it wasn't a long call... and of course, that everything was good at the other side of the phone.
