My Stepsisters my best friend

Chapter 11

I stopped when  I reached the door,  I could hear doctors shouting from the inside.

"You must Skyla" I turned around to see a young looking doctor

"Umm yeah, are you new?" My voice couldnt come out in any more than a whisper

"Yeah, I started last week, how did you know?"

"Im here a lot, is my sister okay?"

"We dont know" My stomach dropped

"What happened"

"A boy was here, visiting her and he called us to say something was beeping"

"Who was it?" my voice was shaking

"Jack Miller" i couldnt move, I told him to never come here. I told Mack that he was bad knews now but se didnt know how bad, I didnt tell her what he had done to me.

"Can she go in and see her?" Cole asked for me

"It would be best if you waited out here for now, we will update you if anything happens"

Cole had to practically carry me to the waiting room, he sat me down before heading towards the reception.

"Who have you called about Mackenzie Walker"  I heard Cole say

"Only her sister she is her emergency call"

"I have no phone service in here do you mind if I call a few people"

"The phone is yours"

After a few minutes of making calls Cole came back and sat next to me, I pulled my knees up to my chest.  I dont know how long it was untill my Dad, Katie and Alexa arrived, they all tried to speak to me but I remained silent.

"Come on eat something, Sky you must be hungry" My Dad said to me. We had been here for 8 hours and the only update we had had was to stay she still alive.

"Skyla" I reconised the voice, I ran towards her my legs shaking and wrapped my arms around her kneck.

"Mum" I whimpered. She ran her fingers through my hair.

"its going to be okay"

"But is it?" she didnt answer.

I opened my eyes, it took me a while for me to realise where I was. The hospital.

"Your awake" I saw my Mum looking down at me.  I sat up and looked around the waiting room.

"Where Annie?"  i could see my Dad, Alexa and Cole all asleep on chairs.

"Katie took her home last night"

"Is Mack okay" She is still in a coma nothing more has happened. I nodded slowly.

For the rest of the day everyone just played cards apart from me,  I just sat on the chair I had been sitting in for the last 24hours. The doctor came over to us and sat next to me. This was going to be bad wasnt it.

"Skyla, your Mackenzies sister right?" I nodded slowly this was going to be bad. I braced my self for the worse "We have seen a slight improvement with her health but we cant promise anything" I smiled, she was getting better.
