Chapter 14

I wheeled Mack out of the hospital and towards dads car

"Sky slow down your scarring me" Mack said as I ran down the carpark

"Nope, I'm just so excited" I said laughing. Mack was coming home, it had been three days since she woke up. She was going to live in dads house with me as that was the easiest at the moment and we didn't want to deal with changing hospitals and all of that stuff. She would eventually move up closer to mum but for now she was staying nice and close.i reached the car and stopped her wheel chair by the front door which i opened for her and helped her in. Dad got in the drivers seat and mum got in the back with me. It was all a bit weird being in a car together knowing how much they hated each other.

We soon arrived home and helped Mack out the car and into the house. Pushed the wheel chair up the ramp dad had made for her and mum opened the front door for me to go in. The house was dark, mum flicked on the Light the room was filled with welcome home banners.

"Surprise" everyone shouted jumping out from various pieces of furniture.

There was Cole, Alexa, Katie , Annie, Haley, a few of macks friends and a few family members such as my grandparents, aunt and uncle and my cousins.

I went and stood with Cole and Alexa whilst everyone greeted mack.
"I'm going to go over there and say hello to your family" Alexa said and winked at me leaving me standing there with Cole.
"Shall we go outside?" Cole asked, I nodded and followed him into the garden where we sat down on the swinging bench. We sat there in silence looking around the garden before I decided to speak.
"Thank you Cole, for everything you have done these last few weeks. When you first moved in with Us I was thinking oh god this is going to be horrible but over these weeks I have learnt to love you and all your weird ways. If you hadn't have been at the hospital with me I think I would have had a mental breakdown" I laughed nervously wanting Cole to say something.
"Sky I just want to..." He ran his hand through his hair and nervously laughed.
"Want to what?" I asked
"Want to kiss you" he admitted and gave me small smile. I think my heart just skipped a beat.
"Like this?" I leant over and kissed him on the lips, he didn't kiss back at first I had obviously shocked him but when he did it felt magical like our lips were made for each other's. Wow that sounded cringy. We pulled away for air and rested our foreheads against each other.
"Maybe we should go back inside" he whispered his lips brushing against mine.
"I think we should" I stood up and wound my fingers through his and lead our way back through the garden and into the house. When I walked in I saw Alexa wink at me when she saw our joining hands.
Dan came running over to Us and gave both Cole and I a hug before standing there and smiling at Us
"I'm so happy for you guys, you both have finally realised how you are perfect for each other" he grinned before running over to talk to mack and my mum.
"That boys Mental" Cole said laughing
"That's boys my bestfriend". I said grinning, realising how lucky I was to have best friends like Alexa and Dan and have such a wonderful hopefully soon to be boyfriend.
