"Hey" I said pressing the phone to my ear

"what do you want?" Dan mumbled

"I'm guessing my best friend only just woke up" I say laughing

"You know me to well" Dan said "can I come to your today?"

"Well about that, you might need to come to a new address"

"What?" Dan shouted through the phone

"Quiet down, mate" I said trying to impersonate someone from his football team. Dan just laughed at me

"Seriously, why?"

"Derek you know my step dad got a new job in Manchester"

"What you moved to Manchester without telling me?" I new he was angry now

"No calm down listen to me"

"Okay I'm listening" he said sarcastically

"My Mum thought it was best if I did not go with them so they moved up to Manchester and I stayed in Norfolk"

"Where?"

"At my Dads new house, he is now living with his girlfriend and her daughter"

"How old is she?"

"It's Alexa"

"What? you mean Alexa your best friend from skating?"

"Yes Alexa from skating"

"So Skyla Walker is now living with one of her best friends ,her dad and her new step mum and didn't tell her best friend who she has known for 13 years and how long didn't you tell me for?" he said

"2 days" I say nervously

"Okay I'm coming over right now" he said "hold on where does he live exactly?"

"There is one more thing I need to tell you"

"Come on then spill the beans"

"Katie's best friend was going away with business and had no where for her son to stay so he is living with us and worst of all it's not just any old son it's COLE" I said exaggerating the last word

"You mean the 'cocky dog'" he asked I don't know why he called him that.

"Yes the 'cocky dog' is living with" I said

I told him the address and be was meeting me here in 30 minutes, I went down stairs to have breakfast

I opened the door to let Dan in, he was wearing black skinny jeans and a white T-shirt his dark black hair was ruffled, he obviously hasn't brushed it.

"Skyla" he squealed pulling me into a hug

"You sound like a girl" a laughed

"But you love me really" he said as he pulled away from the hug and stepped inside, i closed the door behind him.

"Hello, you must be Daniel" Katie said walking over to him "I'm Katie, Skylas step mum"

"Nice to meet you Katie, but please just just call me Dan" he said putting his charming act on, I just rolled my eyes.

Cole came down the stairs, him some old football shorts and an old t shirt he obviously had just woken up.

"Were going to go upstairs" I said to Katie

"Okay call me if you need anything" she said smiling

"Thankyou Katie" Dan said before following me
