Chapter 10

Cole pushed open the door and walked in with me standing behind him. A lady who looked just like Cole sat next to the head teacher and next to her was Katie.

"Skyla please sit over there" The head teacher, Mr Barnes  said pointing to a chair in the back corner. "Cole come and sit opposite me"

"Cant Skyla sit next to me?" Cole asked

"Why did you bring Skyla, I didnt know you two were friends?" My Barnes said

"Were not" I mumbled.

"Well if you need Skyla to sit next to you she can" Cole sat down and pulled me down next to him, he then linked his hand in with mine and held it has tight at she could.

"We are hear to discuss your lack of effort in school last term before the summer began" Mr Barnes started

"That is why we have think it is best to send you off to an all boys boreding school" his Mum finshed

"What?" Cole screemed standing up, I tugged on his arm to get him to sit down.

"We think the problem is the girls at the school" Mr Barnes said

"Mum, you havnt even beeen around all summer so you cant decide what I can and cant do I have changed just give me one last chance"

"Why should i?"

"He has changed since I last saw him" Katie said

"Are you saying you know my son better than me? How many girls has he had in his room this summer?"

"He had one on his first  day but since then none" Katie said

"Well maybe we could give him one month to prove to us he is capablle of achiveing he will also have a tutor signed to him" Mr Barnes said

"I know hes not my son but I think having someone he knows tutoring him will help" Katie said

"Are you saying you want Skyla or Alexa to tutor him his Mum said to Katie

"I think that would be best, Alexa will be harder as she is new at the school but Skyla has high grades and dedication"

"I cant tutor him, i wont have time I have skating and tones of homeowork" I said

"As a tutor some of your homeworks will be dropped to give you more time" Mr Barnes said moving some papers around on his desk.

"You two are free to go"  Mr Barnes said as he handed me a sheet of paper of all the lessons Cole would be tutored in.

"Thankyou" Cole said pulling me into a hug once we were out the door.

"Im being serious, you actually have to try" I said pulling away and walking down the empty corridor

"I promise you I will" I then felt his lips against my forehead before he grabbed my hand amd pulled me into our form room.

Everyone stared at our interwined hands,I quickly pulled away and sat down inbetween Dan and Alexa

"What did they want?" Alexa asked

"they want me to tutor him, if he fails he gets sent of to an all boys boarding school"

"Not that much pressure then"

I went and sat on a bench that looked over the football fields to wait for Katie to pick me up.  I pulled my phone out my bag.

Hey, im on the green bench overlooking the football fields. Meet me here. Skyla xxx

Im going to join the netball team if thats alright I will  meet you and Cole in the car park at 4;30. Alexa xxxxx

I groaned I had another hour and a half sitting here alone. It wasnt long before my phone started ringing. I clicked answer not even ready the Caller ID

"Hello"

"Hello its the hospital"

"Is she okay?"

"Her blood pressure has gone up were not sure what is happening could you get here as fast as you can"

"Yeah I will leave now"

"Goodbye" I hung up and noticed Cole looking at me strangly. Who do I call? Dad  is at work.  Katie is at work. My mum is hours away. I have no one. I looked through my bag to see if I had any money for the bus or a taxi. 43p thats going to get me there.

Tears streemed down my face. What if shes dying? what would I do? Who would I talk too? I had to get to her, i need to know if shes alright, I need to know when to say goodbye. I saw Cole still looking at me, he then turned around and spoke to my coach who then looked over at me and nodded. Cole jogged over.

"Why you here, watching us practise. Your crying just great" He said  running his fingers through his hair. I thought he had come to see if I was allright but obviouslly not.

"Can I borrow some money?" I wiped my eyes

"What? Why?"

"Its Mack"

"Yeah its in the changing rooms" he ran towards the boys changing rooms leaving me again. He soon returned his bag slung over his shoulder,

"Lets go" he said grabbing my hand

"What about your coach?"

"I will explain to him tommorow"

"How are we getting there?" I asked

"Theres a taxi station about two minutes away" He pulled me along behing him untill we reached a black taxi.

"To the hospital, be quick its an emergency" Cole said pushing me into the door his following behind. He did my seat belt up for me as I didnt have the energy too. He sat in the middle seat so he was closer to me. I sat facing the window tears falling down my cheeks. I felt Coles arm slip around my waist and pull me closer to him. As much as i wanted to pull away part of me couldnt. I just stayed motionless. We soon reached the hospital and i threw the open and Cole handed the driver some cash before running after me.

"Is she okay" I said to Alice the minute we arrrived

"They have sent her into emergency surgery its the only way she will be able to stay alive. You can go sit up in her room to wait, the doctors will keep you posted."

"Thankyou" I mumble before heading to the lift and clikcing the floor number. I didnt even feel worried about being in such a small space I just needed to see her.
