Chapter 3

The picture to the side is of Skyla.

I sat in the passenger seat of my Dads car as we drove to my old house, we pulled up outside and I opened the car door.

"I will pick you up in 2hours, call me if you need anything before then" my Dad said as I climbed out.

"Will do" I say as I waved him off.

I walked up to the front door and gave a hard knock, it was weird not having my own keys but as the house was being sold I had to give my keys away. it wasn't long before my Mum opened the door.

"Hello" I said as I walked in.

"Hi do you want a drink?" My mum said.

"Yeah"

"Just because you don't live here" my mum said before walking into the kitchen.

"Sorry" I called after her.

I ran up the stairs and into the nearest room, I saw Annie playing with her toys, boxes surrounding her.

"Boo" I said making her jump

"Aha Skyla" she screamed, she then turned around and hugged me. "Skyla"

"I only saw you yesterday" I teased

She pulled away and I got up to get the rest of my stuff.

My Dad stood in the doorway holding one of my boxes and my Mum and Annie were standing next to me in the hall.

I leant down and picked up Annie.

"I will miss you" she said

"I will miss you too, keep good care of Mummy" I said before putting her down. I then moved on to my Mum.

"Bye Mum" I said and hugged her

"Sorry Derek can't be here, he is busy with work and thought it might be a but awkward"

"It's okay"

When we finished our goodbyes me and Dad walked out and got in the car.

"I have something to tell you" Katie said "One of my friends is having to work away for a couple of months in New York and hasn't got anyone to look after her son, so I offered him a place to stay here as we have a spare room for him and he will come tomorrow"

"How old is he?" Alexa asked as we sat around the table

"The same age as you, he is in the same school as Skyla and where you will be going Alexa"

"What's is name?" I asked

"Cole Parker"

"Oh" I said shocked

"Sweetie do you know him?" My Dad asked.

No of course he's not the one and only Cole Parker the schools bad boy the most good looking person of school no, I don't know him.

"I know who is, don't really know him personally though"

"Tell me now who Cole Parker is" Alexa said as she jumped on the bed

"The schools 'bad boy', 'the player', 'the heartbreaker' and the 'ultra cute boy who everyone likes' yeah I think that's it" I said as I lay on the bed next to her.

"And he's coming to live here?"

"Well that's what Katie just said isn't it?" I said

"Yeah I suppose"

"Alexa" I shout in her ear.

She screamed

"I'm awake, I'm awake" she said hardly opening her eyes

"Coles arriving in 45mins so you better be ready"

With that she jumped out of bed and darted into our bathroom. I walked our and into the little room that was opposite both our rooms and turned the tv on. I sat and watched an episode of 'faking it' before Alexa came in.

"I'm ready" she said, I looked up at her, she looked gorgeous she was wearing skinny jeans that fitted like they were made for her, she had a white crop top on that said 'yeah whatever' on the front. That was her catch fraise and when I found a top that said it on I had to buy it for her. I looked down at what I was wearing, I had a pair f black leggings and a grey crop top that said 'nothing to wear' on it.

"You look great" I said before turning the tv of and following her down the stairs.

When we reached the kitchen Katie and my Dad were both sitting having breakfast.

"Morning girls" my Dad chirped, looking up from his newspaper and taking a sip of coffee.

"Morning Dad" I said taking a seat next to him and grabbing the orange juice.

The door bell went.

"He's here, be polite" Katie said giving me and Alexa a look that read behave all over it. She stood up and got the door.

She said a few words to a women before the door shut and Katie walked back in, with Cole behind her. he had blonde ruffled hair, and a perfect body his T-shirt framing is muscles perfectly, I looked at Alexa who was sitting next me, she was staring at him in shock. I nudged her arm causing her to snap out of her gaze.

"A little love struck are we" I said in her ear, causing her to nudge me.

"Alexa" Katie said in a harsh tone.

"Sorry Mum"

"Okay Cole, this is Skyla" she pointed over to me "and this is Alexa" she said pointing at Alexa. "Alexa is my daughter and Skyla is Jason's. Skyla goes to ten same school as you, Alexa will be joining to just after the summer"

"Hi" Cole said.

"Skyla, show him around the house and Alexa help me make breakfast" Katie said.

I walked out the kitchen, Cole followed me.

"So you go to the same school as me?" Cole said as we walked into the lounge.

"Yeah, this is the lounge" I said before walking out again.

"Funny, I would normally notice a hot chick like you" he said before laughing.
I felt myself going bright res, he thinks I'm hot, okay Skyla calm down.

" I would like you to know I don't look like a chick"

"Ooooh" Cole said

We walked into another room

"This is the study"

I continued to show him round the house till breakfast was ready.
