Episode 24

Rosés P.O.V

I buttoned the last button of my silky pyjama shirt when I suddenly feel two strong arms wrap around my waist from behind and a head leaning on the left side of my shoulder. I placed my hand on top of his hands and carressed it while I leaned more into him. I turned my head to the left and kissed the side if his face. I could see his eyes starting to close.

Me:"come on, let's get to bed. We can cuddle there."

He nodded without saying anything and left to the bed. I followed him and got under the covers with him, he placed his arm on my waist and snuggled his head in the crook of my neck, sniffing in my scent to feel more comfortable. I brushed my fingers through his soft fluffy hair as he slowly drifted off to sleep.

I close my eyes, trying to fall asleep, but, I just can't. For some reason I got this strange gut feeling like, something terrible is about to happen. Though, it's stupid, what could possibly happen. We have many guards watching over the whole castle, snowflake put a protection spell over the castle as well, azrielle guards JiEuns room, and our enemies were killed a while ago by jungkook. So basically, nothing could happen to us as we are highly protected, right?

I shook my head and cleared my mind. I closed my eyes and calmed my nerves. It's okay Rosé, we are safe, nothing could happen. Slowly I started to drift off to dream land.

Azrielles P.O.V

Everyone is sleeping, the guards are at their right places and heavily armed with their own powers as well. I stand outside JiEuns room with my ears on full volume to listen out for anything. My powers are ready for anything that could happen.

No matter how many years it has been, we still have to be alarmed. I know jungkook had killed their enemies a while ago, at least that is the ones that we knew. There could have been more than we thought, we never know. Honestly, it doesn't matter where the whole family goes, they will never be safe if not protected properly with heavily armed guards and me and snowflake to protect them.

The ice kingdom has had many wars and enemies before in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if the enemies from a while back to the ancestors time have been past down to their long down the line grandchildren. What comes with power comes with rivals. The biggest rival that the ice kingdom has had is the water kingdom. Thanks to Rosé we have the earth kingdom and fire kingdom on our side. The water kingdom however, they are tricky. Ice and water don't go. Ice doesn't like how water can flood them and water doesn't like how ice can freeze them. Biggest rivals since the start of time people like to say.

Actually, the story goes that rosés great great great, and continue on 5 more times, (😂) grandfather was in love with the princess of the water kingdom. He tried getting her attention but it didn't work until one day at war, he was caught by an unexpected attack, they tied his arms and legs and threw him in the water. He drowned but the water princess found him while swimming one day through the sea to check on all the sea life. She took him to land and used her powers to drain all the water out of him and bring him back to life. It was then that she had fallen in love.

They confessed to eachother and lost their first everything to eachother. The water king and queen had told the princess to stay away from him but she never listened, she loved him way too much. One day, the princess was on her way to the fire kingdom to make a deal with them, that was until she spotted the fire princess and her beloved making out without any shame. She hid behind the deep red painted wall and watched them as her blood boiled in anger and jealousy. She watched them pull apart and heard him confess that he had fallen out of love with the water princess and fell in love with her.

The princess ran out of the fire kingdom and teleported to the water kingdom with anger and envy running through her veins. The next day the prince had confessed what he did behind her back and apologised, he said that he had truly fallen out of love and that he wanted to be with the one whom he did love instead. She didn't want to believe that he had fallen out of love and decided to assume that the fire princess had brain washed him. She had told her parents and they all came up with a solution, which was to wait for the perfect time to attack. She awaited may years and watched how the prince had gotten married to the princess and had their first born and then had their second born child which was a boy. He was now 6 years old and a bright happy boy who like to explore.

The princess had then decided it was the perfect time to attack, she started off sneaking into the little boys room and drowning him with her powers after he was awoken by the loud steps she made. The ice king and queen saw the boy the next morning and mourned. Next up was the queen, she had stabbed her in the back multiple times while she was changing. The king had walked in on his lover being murdered by the water princess and he immediately, without hesitating, freezed her to death. He had never cried so hard before in his life with his family in his arms.

The water kingdom found out about how the ice king had killed their daughter/princess which made them angry. Both kingdoms went to war and fought for days, weeks, months. After what felt like an eternity, the ice king had won the war. Instead of feeling joy, he felt empty, like he had no purpose any more. His family gone and his revenge successful. Without thinking about his people or any other family, he committed suicide while the ice kingdom was celebrating.

Now here is the catch. I had mentioned that the king and queen had a first born and then a second born. Yes, the water princess only murdered the second born because she was killed before she had the chance to murder the first. The first born had went out searching for its mother. The ice king had made the biggest mistake of his life by accidentally getting drunk and inpregnating another Woman. Though the king was disappointed in himself and hated himself for it, he couldn't let the baby have a bad life without it's father. The queen had been told by the king and was furious at first but forgave him and agreed to keep the baby and pretend that she was pregnant with the baby.

The mother had passed after giving birth and the king couldn't help but to lie to his first born and say that the biological mother was still alive. So when the king had committed suicide, he didn't leave the kingdom unattended. He had left it to his 9 year old child who was the first. ever.  Female to have ever ruled a kingdom. The king could not handle his aching heart for his passed wife and second child that he felt he couldn't protect his first child if he couldn't protect the others.

The Kings daughter had made her family proud by what she had done to protect the kingdom.

So, lady's and gentleman, please tell me, who do you believe started this war? The answer is up to you on what you had gotten from the story. Though this story could be totally made up and only spoken to make people believe that the ice kingdom is innocent. It could be the other way around, but to be fair, most of it was off by the ice king and queens perspective which could only mean that the water kingdoms story would be similar unless they decided to change the whole story. Jealousy is never an excuse, so why should the water princess make the cut when she too used jealousy? A question that has seized to be answered.
