The laughter stopped.

The girls smirked at this as Declan groaned and banged his head on the table multiple times.

"Not Lilah! She's still so young,"

"She was 17 at the time, making us 10, I believe," Estelle said, confirming this with her friends.

Declan rubbed his forehead, feeling a headache coming on. He sighed. "How did it go?"

"It went exactly how you'd expect it to go,"

"We scared him off?" He perked up, asking eagerly.

"Well... something like that,"

 The doorbell rang.

Delilah ran out of the living room. She knew she had to be fast. She could already hear the pounding footsteps. She had to get there before them. This was not going to be pretty otherwise.

She just got to the door when she felt her feet being lifted off the ground.

"No!" she whined.

Declan had picked her up and handed her to Jordan, who put her down behind them. The two were wearing tank tops, trying to, in their words, "show off the guns."

Delilah groaned. She knew she should never have mentioned going on this date. The whole day her brothers had been working out to try and intimidate her date to leave. She sighed. They might actually be successful in their mission.

"Mom and Dad said you can't do this,"

"Well, mom and dad aren't here, but we are,"

"I'd hate to think how you'd react when it's your daughters getting a boyfriend,"

Both Jordan and Declan laughed at that.

"Yeah, like they'd ever get boyfriends,"

Delilah sighed. Declan then turned, cracked his knuckles, and opened the door.

"Uh hi, you must be Declan," the boy said, his eyes widening at sight.

Both Declan and Jordan stood there, eyes sharp, shoulders back, chest pumped. It was hard not to pity the poor boy.

"Yeah, I must be," Declan said, looking the boy up and down.

The boy named Jake gulped. He then turned to Jordan.

"And you must be uh, Jordan?"

"Pretty smart of you,"

"Hi Delilah," he said, standing on his tiptoes to look at Delilah behind Jordan and Declan.

Delilah waved. He could barely see her face. "Hey Jake, sorry for this,"

Jake laughed nervously. "It's okay. I thought you said there would be three of them, though?"

"Turn around," a voice said from behind.

Jake cringed before slowly turning around. Bennett was towering over him. He was in a three-piece expensive-looking suit. There weren't any muscles on show, but his eyes were sharp boring holes into Jake's head.

Jake chuckled, though it sounded forced. "Ah, you must be Bennett,"

"My, what razor-sharp intellect you have," he answered cooly.

Jake was in trouble.

"What are your intentions with our sister?" Declan demanded impatiently.
