"So, ladies, how is school?" Jordan asked once again, changing the subject.

The girls groaned. This was one of those boring subjects they didn't want to get into.

"School is fine," Kendall answered, sipping her milkshake.

"It would be better if you weren't consistently called into the principles office," Gabrielle muttered to no one but herself.

Too bad everyone heard.

Kendall forced out a laugh before setting a deadly glare on her friend.

"Pranks that went wrong," she explained quickly to the boys.

Estelle snorted. "At least they're not for fights, right G?" she smiled at Gabrielle innocently.

Gabrielle looked at her in disbelief before retorting. "At least we show up to school. Why don't you let us all know where you go?"

Estelle matched Gabrielle's heated glare.

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't crack you like the egg you are?"

Gabrielle snorted. "Like you could crack an egg, you understand that counts as cooking right," she smirked at Estelle.

Estelle just tsked and looked away. The boys stepped in before the atmosphere got too tense. School was a touchy subject they all noted.

"What do you mean, you don't know how to cook?" Bennett asked Estelle, it sounded like he was personally insulted, and the truth is, he was.

Gabrielle and Kendall were no help when they snorted at the idea of Estelle cooking.

"Estelle cooking? That's a good one; you know she set fire to your kitchen once?" Kendall told Bennett.

Bennett's eyes widened in horror.

"It's nothing personal, I just don't have the skills or the patience for cooking, and the fire thing was an accident, I swear," she defended.

"But did I not try to teach you?" Bennett asked, worried he neglected her.

Estelle shook her head. "No, it's not that you didn't try. Obviously, you did, but... I don't know... I never seemed to get the hang of it," she fell apart, not knowing how to tell her dad she didn't like doing the same things as him.

"It's not like we don't spend time together, we take many road trips and love talking about cars and bikes and whatnot, but we just don't cook," Estelle explained to her father, but she could visibly see he was trying to play it off like it didn't matter.

"But hey, you may not cook with me, but you taught Kendall everything you know," Estelle said, changing the subject.

Bennett looked up at Kendall curiously. Everyone turned to Kendall in curiosity.

Kendall slightly blushed as she looked at her uncle. "It's true. I'm lucky to have had you teach me,"

"You like to cook?" Jordan asked with interest.

"Yeah,"

"I'm so excited to be helping you out today," she said to her Uncle Bennett. The two of them wore the same uniform, a crisp white shirt, black pants and matching chefs hats. Bennett gave her a small but heartfelt smile.

He loved cooking with Kendall. She picked up the skills with ease and always knew which flavours complimented one another. Tonight was a big night, it was a charity event with a good few hundred hungry guests, and it was Kendalls first time in a professional setting.
