In the crackling wood,
In the merry fire,
In those posh gowns,
Resided my heart's desire,

The bickering of the orthodox,
In that humongous hall,
They danced on their toes,
I heard your call,

The chatter numbs,
The music fades,
My heart skips a beat,
You walked down the staircase,

The moon shone brighter,
As it gleamed your cheeks,
Your smile made my day,
My heart got what it seeks.
...
Aw my first happy poem. It's a cliche Romeo and Juliet love story. From the perspective of a guy seeing the gal of his dreams walking down the stairs. :)
