Beneath the trees for shelter by moonlight ; wandering the land of unknown from dawn till dusk . All you did during those long days were dreaming of reaching your destination.

" Mondstat..."
The city of wind and songs and ... apparently where your relative lives .

Dandelions and glowing lamp grass ; you tried to collect herbs you've encountered on the way .
" Would be nice to get some cecilia  flowers too ."
You've grown in a family of prestigious botanists , so normally you were expected to bring more success and pride .
It was a pain in the ass . Honestly, you wanted to just marry a rich merchant and live without doing any work .

Fireflies danced around you in a halo , only to jade away when you reach for them . The bundle of light diluted into the star kissed sky .
Windmills lazily spun in the tranquil state of air . The dim embers of the city illuminated the lake as you sat on the shore to admire it from afar .
" Shit , this was exhausting."

With a mental celebration of finally resting , you plopped down on the grass and prepared to drift into the world of illusions .

Somewhere , maybe near or far , a melancholic chime started to lull you to sleep .
You wondered if it was just your imagination. But you still sat up , curious.

There , amidst the bushes ; a lonely figure .
Determined to see the musician a bit closer , you slowly creeped closer  .
You felt like a pervert but you just wanted to catch a quick glimpse .

Hair as dark as a dreamless sleep , macerated with cerulean blood veins from the tip .

Inquisitiveness invited you to go further .
Tickles of warmth and unanswered questions lick against your skin .

Long eyelashes casted shadows on his milky skin , before fluttering open and diffusing into nothingness .
The feeling of mysteriously caused longing scattered away when you noticed that a pair of blue jade eyes has spotted your presence .

" Good evening." His voice were like dandelions in the rain , butterflies and aged wine.

" G-good evening."
You straightened your back and fixed your hair , hoping that it was enough to distract him from your heated face .
" Sorry , i wanted to listen to the tune closely ."
He gave you a light smile and cheekily proclaimed " Well ... i never perform for free . How about a drink with me at the tavern ?"
You nodded , eager to hear more of his melodies .

A few days passed .
You settled into your relative's house .
Everyday was the same . You explored Mondstat , collected plants .
The nearing of your return came closer .

You haven't seen Venti since the day you came here.
The moon started to rise for it's night shift . Soon enough the zinc disc floats above the pearlescent ocean of clouds .
You opened your window wide and rested your cheeks on the slab while admiring the scenery beyond the city walls .

" Hey ."
Venti pulled himself up on your window,  making you fall backwards in surprise.
" You should've seen the look on your face ."
He made a little bow after taking his hat off .
" I came to entertain the bored visitor ."
The bard stepped a foot inside your room without an invitation but you didn't mind .
"Do you have anything to pour this wine in?"
Venti fished out a bottle of dandelion wine from his back .
You wondered if there was any hidden pockets on his cape .

The two of you stayed up till midnight , the bard mostly did the talk while you listened .
In the morning he was still there , on the other side of the bed .
You left the room to eat some breakfast but by the time you returned , he was nowhere to be seen . Only his ghostly presence lingers on your bed .

He visited again in the evening  , this time inviting you to sight see on Starsnatch Cliff .
You spent the whole night collecting cecilia  flowers . By dawn the two of you returned and crashed on your bed .

The tiny dates went on for a week everyday , you felt yourself growing more and more anxious until your departing came .
" I don't want to leave ."
Venti ruffled your hair playfully before pulling out his lyre .
" Oh , beautiful stranger from a faraway
land ~."

" Shushhhhhh."
You covered your ears , cringing at his lyrics .
" I'd rather make you sing about food and wine than me ."

He ignored your exclamation and continued singing . You tried to cover his mouth but he kept dodging like a weasel .
" Requests for songs aren't free . Perhaps..."
Venti pondered for a moment before leaning into you . Pinkish hue bloomed over his cheeks .
" How about a kiss ?"

" N-now???"

" Then when ?"

Before you could even react he planted a firm peck on the corner of your mouth .
" That was too sudden!"
He cupped his hand below your chin and went in for a kiss again .
" I'll visit you . Don't worry ."
His lips greedily dawdled over yours before pulling back .
