Chapter 14

(Abhay's POV)

"Abhay....." I heard my name. It was Piya's voice. She sounded weak and in pain.

I sensed something wrong with Piya. Something bad has happened to her. I needed to check on her.

"Hey Abhay! Where are you going?" Kabir asked.

"I have some important work. I'll see you tomorrow." I hurried away from there.

I took the car towards the direction of the coffee shop Neeta mentioned. I found a white car stranded on the edge of the street. I stopped the car and stepped out. I heard someone laughing in the forest. And the scent of blood. Piya's blood. I went into the forest and found Piya against a tree, bleeding from all over. I rushed over to her.

"Piya! Open your eyes, Piya!" No response.

I healed most of her wounds. She still wouldn't wake up. I put my hands on either side of her head, and tried to speak to her in her head. I needed her to wake up.

"Piya! Can you hear me! Get up now!"

I heard footsteps. Someone was coming. I tried to take Piya with me, but an unknown force bound her to the tree, a force only a witch could create. I hid behind the same tree.

Neeta came into view with two guys. I remained hidden behind the tree.

"I've made a mistake. I can't finish her yet because she isn't wearing the special bracelet. I'm leaving. Take care of her."

So Neeta was behind this. What did Piya do to her?

"Lets take her with us. He won't spare us if we let her go."

"Good call."

They undid whatever force held Piya against the tree. She fell to the ground. I made the decision to attack them before they did any more harm to her. I lunged at one of the men and tore his throat open. His blood gushed into my mouth. I flung him aside. The other tried to defend himself. I waited for his move. A powerful force slammed me against the tree. I quickly recovered and lunged at him, snapping his neck.

I went over to Piya. She was conscious. Her eyes were barely open..

"Piya! It's okay...I'm here..nothing will happen to you!" She tried to move, fear clearly on her face. Did she see me kill them?

"Piya..I won't hurt you." I said, but by then she lost consciousness.

I needed to take her home with me. She lost a lot of blood and her pulse was weak.

"Neeta, once I find you...I will make you pay.." I said into the dark forest.

(Piya's POV)

I couldn't believe what I had just seen. Abhay...a vampire? I couldn't digest the fact.

I was still lost in darkness. I tried once again to open my eyes. It worked this time. I was in a dimly lit room. A cool hand held mine. Was I at home? I fully opened my eyes to find myself in an unknown room. Abhay was holding my hand. I jerked my hand away from him and moved to the opposite side of the bed I was lying on.

"Piya...I.."

"Get away from me!" I showed him my finger.

(Abhay's POV)

She found out. The fear was clear on her face.

"Piya...I won't hurt you." I told her.

"Just...please leave.....me........alone." She said.

I walked out of my room. What will happen now....

(Piya's POV)

I curled up on the bed, tears in my eyes. I was being hunted down to be killed and the guy I thought would be my best friend turned out to be a vampire. I took one of the pillows and buried my face in it. Something was caught onto the corner of it.

It was a bracelet, complete with a locket. It looked exactly like the one I lost after mommy died. I opened it up, shocked at the sight. My bracelet had my name engraved into the inside of the locket. This one also had my name inside of it. Was this the same bracelet I lost? How did Abhay get it?
